yea, their scouting is top notch from the track record. they also emphasize laning pretty heavily. according to one of the players in an interview (piglet i think), they get told that laning is the fundamental stage of the game right out of the gate in training camp.

Anyone have any ideas on who it could be?

Ah, I remember Nick hinting at that some time ago. He said it's going to be a former Code S regular and Terran. When someone asked for a hint he said "it was a pretty good comic book".

Now I have absolutely no clue about comic books, but maybe someone else does.

Cloudtemplar retires

http://www.inven.co.kr/board/powerbbs.php?come_idx=2744&l=2480

CJ Entus Frost LoL Progamer Cloudtemplar (26) retires.

Cloudtemplar started his progaming career with MiG, later becoming Azubu and finally CJ Entus

In 2012 Cloudtemplar with CJ Frost won the LoL Invitational. His team has never been below the semifinals and obtained great success. Also participating in the Season 2 World Championship and becoming the runner up, and also winning IEM World Championship, Cloudtemplar represented the Korean LoL Progaming scene.

Cloudtemplar states "It was a decision for the team and me to develop ourselves. I thank all my fans who have supported and cheered for me"

Cloudtemplar will take a break and will decide later what to do next.

Tbh Aphromoo was the one I expected to be kicked first and foremost after the first new Curse performances.

Liquid calls it "tryoutouts" now on reddit. He is kinda right since apparently no contracts were signed yet, still bad communication.

Polls for participating teams in IEM Cologne for EU are now online. It has Fnatics, LD, Gambit and EG. Only NiP missing out of current EU LCS teams.

He is not kinda right, he made it official, he even uploaded pictures plus bio on the official Curse site. This is just a dumb ass move by Liquid and Curse and extremely disrespectful towards the players. Voyboy himself was super down when he heard this shit.

And what if he had let Pobelter / Aphromoo play the qualifier and then replaced them after qualifying, during LCS? Would that be more or less disrespectful? Because that is what LCS teams do all the time.
There is no job security for LCS players, you can be released any time at the whim of your manager.

Btw there is a high chance that Voyboy himself is responsible for this (at least for Pobelter), because he wants to play mid lane.

No Voyboy isn't responsible for this. He heard it from Liquid yesterday on stream he was pretty mad.
But this is some serious nasty buisness 1 freaking day before the Roster Lock ins end he kicks them for no good reason whatsoever. Also if he complains cuz Pobelter makes to much homework he could've known that already.

Also Voyboy doesn't really mind if he plays top or mid, he just plays mid in soloq cuz its much easier to carry. He said multiple times. He literally said on stream: Decisions were made by Liquid without any of our say in it. and than mumbled some words and went offline he was pretty pissed for real, and Voy is nearly never pissed.

I still dont see how kicking someone before the qualification is worse than kicking someone after he qualified with the team. Imo the latter is worse. But it happens all the time and noone complains.

It's a matter of time, if you pick some one up for like 3-4 months, and it doesn't work out, and kick um, it doesn't feel nearly as douchey as picking someone up for one week, then booting them cuz it's not working out, especially since this is a "team" game.

If you are kicked only after a week instead of later you did not have to change your life yet. No leaving school or whatever, no moving to another city etc. Basically nothing changes in that case, so it should really not be that big of a problem in contrast to a later kick.

It has to do with lack of time to let the team work together. It's like making a call on how well the team is going to do with less than a weeks exposure to one another.
