They could buy any single player they wanted and considerably more than that, realistically. Korean players aren't paid that much, even the top ones, so you could get almost anyone. edit- ^ yeah but EG have shown that they buy more than just foreigners.

Look, man, you can doubt til the end of time, but if you ask any progamer in the loop, they'll tell you that HuK is getting a fat load of a cash from EG.

They could buy any MATCH with that money, so even iNcontrol would win against NesTea.

They could have got more bang for their buck with nestea and i bet he would have accepted the offer if it were 6 figures, they could have formed a korean team centered around nestea for that price almost. Huk , sure hes a great addition to the team, but they could have probably easily got him at half that price. If this 6 figure salary is true, sounds kind of bs, but at the same time i dont see huk leaving liquid for much less than that. edit: ahh im like contradicting myself in my posts, its late and my mind is racing.

HuK is good - great even - but if he's worth six figures then I'm apparently clueless as to the inner-workings of the professional gamer. I heard somewhere that Boxer was payed around $200,000 back in his heyday (not including sponsors and tournament winner). eSports has grown since then, but I doubt it's grown enough for an above-average player to be payed half of a bonjwa. "The plan is for him to get an apartment." So this random chick is trying to tell everyone that HuK will stop practicing with the likes of MC? The reason Huk is so good is because he lives and practices just like the Koreans do. If he gives that up to go live by his lonesome, what do you think will happen to his tournament results? I for one call that reddit post complete and utter bullshit.

Best screenshot ever...our new future? http://t.co/jlRdGID It's a screenshot from what I think is CS. All 4 of the players in the shot are wearing different colored hats, and I saw that the colored horses of the apocalypse have been thrown around.

1) Liquid gets a Protoss replacement. 2) HuK and Greg suddenly have a friendly relationship for no apparent reason even though just days ago IdrA called him retarded on Inside the Game. 3) It's literally just been 1 year since HuK signed with Liquid. He joined Liquid on around 2010/08/10 give or take a month.

In the Episode of ITG where Alex Garfield talked about the EG.Puma acquisition, he mentioned that EG was talking to teams about acquiring players but they were asking for prices that were "more than the entire team was worth." I wouldn't doubt that EG did look into acquiring a Nestea/MC type player, but found it to be too expensive. As far as skill + marketability, I think Huk would be on any top 10 list out there, so a homerun business move for EG.
