FYI.

The 4th is lectR (who was sending private announcements via PM to TL members and pumping fanclubs), however his Twitter page seems to have suddenly disappeared.

"Salary is rumored to be right around six figures."
HuK is good - great even - but if he's worth six figures then I'm apparently clueless as to the inner-workings of the professional gamer. I heard somewhere that Boxer was payed around $200,000 back in his heyday (not including sponsors and tournament winner). eSports has grown since then, but I doubt it's grown enough for an above-average player to be payed half of a bonjwa.

"The plan is for him to get an apartment."
So this random chick is trying to tell everyone that HuK will stop practicing with the likes of MC? The reason Huk is so good is because he lives and practices just like the Koreans do. If he gives that up to go live by his lonesome, what do you think will happen to his tournament results?

I for one call that reddit post complete and utter bullshit.

Are you under the impression that by moving out of the oGs house, he suddenly stops being good friends with MC, et al.? That his practice partners just suddenly disappear?
Are you human?

It's a screenshot from what I think is CS. All 4 of the players in the shot are wearing different colored hats, and I saw that the colored horses of the apocalypse have been thrown around.

CS 1 million dollar tourney, TF2 pro team (the hats man, the hats!)
or simply that the new CS will have a hat system like TF2, and the delivery vehicle for this announcement is EG!

This is a joke at the expense of valve and Tf2 with the hats, it's unlikely to be related.

No, but practicing all day next to someone and talking to them regularly and having a few skype conversations, the occasional playdate, and maybe a few customs aren't nearly the same thing.

Don't know why you're defending the Huk to EG theory so vigorously when you know as little as we do.

I really hope HuK isn't joining EG, although that is exactly what it seems like will happen. I like HuK mostly from his results and his current team. I haven't been a member here for long but I've lurked four 3-4 years. I really dislike EG for a lot of the shit they've pulled.

On top of that, I think it was mentioned that MC doesnt live in the team house anymore. So Huk is not sitting next to MC anymore.

Then at least Inca and Hero, which is better than no one and probably far better since they're both good players.

Well if huk joins EG, than thats what his options are for staying in korea. Hes not going to beable to stay with the OGS house if hes not on liquid.

Basically the way i see it , is if this is true, he gave up improving his skill with some of the best players in the world for more money.

i dont think EG is very smart to keep pulling players formm their environments that made them good players in the first place. (puma and now huk) I think that we will see a sharp decline in skill in the coming months if this is true, and for puma i dont think he will post anything impressive at any other tournaments with koreans involved, Training in a korean progaming house > Training on your own, every time.

Because I'm completely convinced. It's apparently common knowledge about progamers. I've been stalking this issue for 7 hours coz it's a really fun mystery, and it's been cracked. Ask any progamer in the loop, and you'll get your answer. Huk is going to EG for a ton of money. That's all there is to it.

It will be alot harder to practice with them. As a start, if he moves out of the house, he can't simply walk over to MC and ask for a game. He wouldn't be able to talk to them whenever he wanted to. Secondly, they'd be on different teams so I doubt they'd show each other the sort of buildorders that they would have normally.

This is fucking depressing. While I was reading through OP who mentioned Egypt stuff I wanted to make king ansadi joke, I was smiling. Then I read rumours about HuK going to EG, then I read Heosat's "What I can say is this: it is the first item of a chain of news items. Sadly not all the items are good news. ". Now I'm sad. Is it now certain that HuK indeed goes to EG?

Is there any other reason other than money for HuK to join EG? And why the hell would EG want to buy him anyway? It would have to be pretty large sum of money (not saying it's the mentioned 6 figure) to persuade him to go to the pretty much most hated team out there and thus lose majority of his fanbase.

On top of that, I think it was mentioned that MC doesnt live in the team house anymore. So Huk is not sitting next to MC anymore.

Regardless of weather he lives there, he still comes to train their everyday (or most days) it is a requirement fromm the team.

Could you cite a source? I havent heard anywhere that MC doesnt live in the OGS house anymore.

Wouldnt matter that much anyways though , Nada lives on his own as well but still frequents the OGS house to train. The only real difference is where you sleep and i dont think weather huk sleeps next to OGSMC is a factor for his skill.

Mr Chae said so GSL quals I believe, talking about MC's girl lol

TeamLiquid will join the EG teamhouse. WhiteRa is probably also joining the house. With this teamhouse the non-korean teams are trying to make a fist against the koreans.

The 6 figures thing is what makes this post ridiculous. If you have that much money you could buy everyone in Code S and set up a team house. No single SC2 player is worth that money.

Yup 100k buys a house + team + bills

if 100k did that, my family wouldnt be in debt from 3 kids in college =D

That was sarcasm....

But if college alone put you in debt you and your kids are doing it wrong. I hope it all works out alright for you, but seriously that is a rather poor choice.

Will perhaps save myself with this, but a little debt isn't bad, but if you're risking a house payment / comfort of living for yourself to put your kids in college you are doing it wrong.

100+ pages of trolling, speculation and rumours and you managed to say the stupidest and rudest thing of them all. congrats : )
