I can't believe this still is needed but religious and gun control side discussions will be met with harsh penalties from page 52 and onwards. |

Was the bomb merely a distraction to get on the island, or was his goal to kill the MP aswell? Also, how did the bomb (which was in a car?) did more damage to the upper floors than the lower floors? This part of the story is kinda foggy for me.

CNN is reporting this:
At least 80 people were killed in Friday's attacks, Norwegian police said. 0.o

That he would plan all of this... The bomb, then the massacre. UNBELIEVEABLE. I am pretty speechless here in China. Ruined my day atleast. :/

That can't be true wtf, I first heard about this incident a few hours ago from this thread, didn't realise the extent of it till I started to read the news sites and watch the videos. I can't sleep now...Norway was allways one of my top places to move to/visit since growing up and this has totally shocked me, but I was idiotic to think that there are places immune to this type of thing...for as long as humans exist, bad things will happen. Also my heart goes out to all my Norwegian brothers and everyone effected by this disgusting event.

I assume if things went like he wanted, the bombs would've brought down those buildings.
Either way I have no words for this. A true tragedy. RIP.

If that is the case, then the guy is a criminal genius... What an evil bastard. It could very well be this. All emergency vehicles etc. would probably be at the explosion site, since he waited 1-2 hours before attacking the island. Phonelines would be hard to access and the general panic probably delayed the response time. And the police uniform makes its easy to lure kids to him. What a sick fuck, planning something this huge, just to kill as many children he can.
Yeah, that's what most disturbing to me too. It seems now that his main goal all along was to get to kill as many helpless kids as possible himself, and to do so up close and personal with a gun instead of some more "detached" method like a bomb. Almost fits the description of a school shooting, only much more calculated and at a larger scale.

When one reads the comments he had posted on the Internet it seems his hatred was for the socialist left/center which he felt for responsible for the multicultural society which had harmed the nationalistic identity in Norway, and not Muslims.

so in total about 100 deaths... first i thought it was only 10. man this is sad and fucked up. my thoughts goes to Norway.

7´+ people died at the explosions, 80+ at the shootings... I'm half norwegian and I'm more proud of my Norgwegian side than my Swedish side (Except for esports..) and this is really saddening, all my thought to you Norway!

We have life inprisonment, its called forvaring. If your mental state is judged to be unsafe for society you will not be let out. And i doubt this guy will be let out ever.
Thanks for all the support you teamliquid guys are showing us, it's really touching. <3 TL <3
And thanks for the ban on religious/gun control debate

it is possible to be imprisoned indefinitely in norway. It's called "forvaring," which is as far as I understand a 21 year sentence that can be extended without the need involve courts after the fact. This piece of shit will never be released and for acts as horrific as this, I think we should even go as far as to hang the perpetrators of the crimes, like what happened Norwegians who collaborated with the nazis during WW2, some of which who did less severe crimes against humanity than this.
Anyway, the police is still working with the hypothosis that there were more people involved in the attacks

The death count might even raise, when the complete search from the water is done. I doubt everyone has been found since it has been pretty dark out there..

I can't help but think that something feels incredibly off with this picture. I don't know if it's because I can't really see him being a freemason coupled with the fact that it's from the daily mail or if it's because something actually is fishy with the picture

I stopped watching the news a couple of hours ago. And now a friend told me there were 80 deaths. I'm usually not the kind of person that is really affected by stuff like that, but I got cold and was shocked. What a sad, sad day.
