I can't believe this still is needed but religious and gun control side discussions will be met with harsh penalties from page 52 and onwards. |

dunno why the bbc is claiming car bomb when the damage in the building is clearly top heavy
It look slike HE which could be gas ...t he problem though is that the volume of gas required for that blast would be extremley large adn the mix with air would ahve to be right ... then you nered the spark ... a blast that size would ahve to be deliberate
The other consideration is that very few people were killed ... that suggests some prior warning It's confirmed that it was a bomb.

This is extremely sad and frightening for us. And theres rumors about more bombs. Still waiting for that press conference though

Seems so random right now...
Fucking norway?

I always thought that the "neutral" countries were not targeted by terrorism. If something like that happens in Norway, it can happen in Switzerland too (Imo the two countries are similar). It's crazy.
I'm interested who did this. Norway is far from neutral, we have been heavily involved in Libya bombing, and have had troops in Afghanistan since that conflict started. There are several reasons why Norway could be targeted, unfortunately. Hopefully this will lead to more debate before we go to war next time, there were hardly any for Libya, only one party was willing to question if it was morally right. Which party ? SV, Sosialistisk Venster, a left wing socilalistic party.
I used to vote for them, but sadly they are toothless, and therefor worthless So sad how they have fallen. We need AP to step up now, and become what they once where. The party that made Norway to what it is today, the peoples party.

That is an ignorant statement. We are involved in the Afghan and Libyan civil wars as a part of the United Nations effort. That does not mean we are at war with any of those nations.
Still, it would be very unexpected if this terror does not involve islamists. And please note the separation between Islam and islamist extremism. Many muslims are guaranteed to be among the casualties in Oslo today.

i'm wondering how a car bomb can cause a fire in the 4th story?

I think this is why these are the first suspects. Also we're not blaming all muslims, we're blaming muslim extremist groups which isn't racist at all....
When a facebook status got 100+ likes saying "lets just throw them all out" (muslims being them) I get really sad

They don't suspect more bombs after all according to NRK.
Also according to VG from a statement from the police.

Can you see the Police conference anywhere, anyone?(for those of us that can barely understand it)

orly?
Please tell me how its racism.
Its obviously muslims that blow themselves up we all know this, when another bomb goes off we all know a muslim did it its a fact. Please prove me wrong if you can, which I know you cant.
Racism is juding people by their skin color or where they come from, Islam is NOT a race its a political ideology that actually supported nazi-germany and teaches racism, hate against homosexuals and non-believers.

Or the fact that many people have mentioned in this very thread is that the attack happened when few people are were in the area.
Making so many assumptions at this point is foolish.

Unfortunately, Norway has had the habit of sticking its nose into every war nato and US have been involved in the last decade. Its not as random as you'd might think

I heard on AlJazeera that this bomb had shattered glass in buildings in a radius as wide as one kilometer. (paraphrasing)
If that's true and confirmed, this is a pretty powerful bomb, whatever kind of bomb it was. I don't think it's that unreasonable that something can light on fire in the 4th story.

- Vi har fått meldinger om at en stor bil har kjørt opp mot bygget (I Grubbegata red. anm.) rett før. Den bilen er ikke der nå. Det gjenstår masse etterforskning, sier politiet.
'We received reports that a large car drove up against the building right before (i.e the explosion). That car is no longer there. There's a lot of investigating to do says the police'
loosely translated

3 people have apparently been arrested, no source for it yet though, as I heard it on the live feed. Also a car has been surrounded by police, firetrucks and ambulances at Oslo Airport.
I wouldn't be surprised if we will have more clarity in who caused this, and why, withing today or tomorrow at the latest. Press conference starting in a few minutes, so will know more then.

Definitely not. Even Finland has gotten two threats from AL-Qaeda by just having 10+ 'peacekeepers' in Afghanistan. (the last threat was today)

Luckly building is not made like those hit on 9/11, cuz it would fall down in ashes with some neighbourd buildings. I really hope that this wont enable some kind of "patriotic act" bs in EU. Condolences to norwegians.
