Who said playing video games would only rot your brains? May I present 12-year-old Hans Jorgen Olsen, a Norwegian boy who saved his sister with some "skills" he learned from playing World of Warcraft.
While wandering in the woods near his house, Olsen and his sister unfortunately ran into moose territory, so what does a brother do to protect his sister? First, he used the "taunt" tactic to shift the moose's attention from his sister to him, allowing her to run away. Then he feigned death like a level 30 World of Warcraft avatar. As soon as the moose thought he was dead and went back to doing moose-y things, Olsen ran home to safety.
Yeah, the tactics are hardly worthy of being associated with WoW, but come on, the kid deserves props. Most of us probably would have ran like chickens and enraged the moose to trample us to smithereens. The kid's got guts and it paid off thanks to some fast MMORPG thinking.
^^ Nice to see a happy story..gotta give it up for the kid ! Wonder if blizzard will tweet this lol

Reallllly old story. Cool non-the less.

That's a general tactic taught for many wildlife encounters, so maybe if his parents took the reigns in his education instead of defaulting him to a video game he would have done the same thing!
Kidding, anyway that kid's got balls
