With the success of Naniwa, I'd say no one cares that much anymore, at least right now.

Can someone explain why Teams are so important in sc2? Is it for the mainly for the practice and the fact you have teammates you can always play against/discuss sc2?

Like I know he was a clan hopper in SC1, but were there any sponsored/serious foreigner teams back then? I don't know why people are criticizing his past so harshly especially when you consider the stakes. Teams are actually paying him a salary and sending him to live events now. I'm pretty sure this affects how he approaches his commitments to the teams he joins.

But maybe I'm just blind (:
Hes left two teams already as far as i know, has always been a rude clan hopper and hes keeping it up so far in SC2. Im not surprised hes with artosis now, his goal is korea and artosis almost got him their once.

AFAIK He was never sponsored in those teams. Is it a crime to seek a professional team so you can attend live events?

It seems like 90% of the people flaming him are just jumping on the bandwagon that he's "rude" etc. Who isn't rude and bm nowadays? You can find replays of most pros bming in some fashion.
ROOT had the ability to, but he has no loyalty so he never got that funding, ill give you that his first team was a write off.

You can turn a blind eye to it, but hes just using people and moving on to the next best thing, and your opinion on that is rightfully yours.

That and sponsored teams can send you too events so you don't have to pay out of your own pocket (at least the full price).

In general it's to have solid practice partners are a team name backing you. For this specific case, it's more about the sponsorship. CatZ said that GosITerran hadn't warranted enough for a sponsorship from ROOT yet, and sixjax apparently offered it.

I, for one, see nothing wrong with Terran's "team hopping" so far in SC2 (ONE -> ROOT -> sixjax). If sixjax is willing to send him to events and ROOT wasn't (I'm sure they had legit reasons, not trying to bag on ROOT here), then it seems the kid made the right move.

It's a business. afaik ROOT does not pay for its players to go to tournaments such as MLG. I do not see anything wrong for him to move onto a sponsored team that is willing to dish out the money for him to attend these live events and tournaments. Sure it might be a little fucked up that he doesn't have any loyalty to his peers and teammates, but at the end of the day can anyone truly blame him for his decision?

He left ROOT not too long after they got their three major sponsors. He bailed on All 4 One to join ROOT (read it in the post about him leaving ROOT, I could very well be wrong). Granted, it didn't seem like he was clicking with the other team members anyway, but the money would have been there had he stayed with ROOT.

He is good, but he needs to make a bigger name for himself in the SC2 scene. If he was going to get sponsored just because of a high ladder ranking, why not PiQLiQ? Probably a stupid argument, but it expresses my general point.

For only playing the game for about 3-4 months, he has showed insane potential and skill. But again, no one had heard of him. He hadn't made much noise in the open tournaments. And it seemed that ROOT wanted to work out some stuff with him before using him too heavily in clan related things (I recall CatZ explaining some basic things about SC2 units that Kitty didn't know when he first joined).

I do hope that he eventually settles down (and calms down). The amount he could accomplish once he really gets integrated with a team and trusts them (they trust him) is astounding. So, good luck to Kitty/Princess/Brittney/Terran, I hope you do well, but you have more to work on than just your game.

I really doubt that from what he posted in that thread stating that it was just being trial sponsors that only advertised but did not pay the player for tournament trips. If they were true sponsors, than why did qxc jump ship as well for FXO?

He's a notorious clan-hopper, started way back during the BW days.

I think catz said they did have salaries to senior members, and QXC left before they were sponsored.

I think I remember him saying that he kind of needed the money now. He said that CatZ kept saying that they were close to sponsors, and when QXC decided to go to FXO, the three big sponsors signed with ROOT.

Even if they are just trial sponsors, judging from ROOT's performance, I don't think that they'll all bail on ROOT.
