Being able to rejoin a game after a drop

What do you guys think about having an option to reinvite a player who has dropped from a game? For example if a player disconnects or their computer crashes in the middle of a tournament match, once they reconnect, a referee could reinvite them to the game and then they can continue the same game. I'm not sure exactly how/if this would work but i'm just wondering what you guys think about this.

idk, maybe we have to follow old protocols in dota like saving often after every major encouter to prevent the mass drops/dc's we have been seeing in MLG

Do it how it is right now, but it doesnt automatically drop unless a player clicks "Drop".. And then, like HoN, the discing player can rejoin..

That way, it wont affect anything for ladder, if you disc then the other player can still drop you, but in a tournament like this, if something happens then the player can just rejoin..

I don't think you can even save a multiplayer game anymore. Other than that it seems obvious that there should be a reconnect function like there is in LoL and HoN. Unfortunately Battlenet 0.2 is what it is.

Isn't that kind of function already present in the dota spin-off games? Would be pretty sweet though, but don't know, is it hard or even feasible to pull off in b.net 2.0 with all their coding and stuff?

Also, may work for events and tournaments, but I think many people in b.net wouldn't let the opponent rejoin, but who knows.

Well, rejoining if it's a drop game would be kind of hard when will the opponent get the win? & by the time you get back in the game you will be way behind & you'll just lose. So a lost will be as equal (:

Yeah I was thinking it would only really work in tournies, not really for ladder.

is this because of the the idra disconnect game???? because if so, lan would fix it
