I have Filco majestouch with blue keys. Vey nice keyboard.

I have been thinking about putting some new keys on it. Anyone knows where i can get them?

I would love multi colored keys, could I order colored keys, I have the regular Razer black widow which has blues and I love it but I also want checker board if I order some keys from somewhere will they fit on the black widow?
If you're a Starcraft fan, you're an Lim Yo Hwan fan.

Most people that have the checkerboard keyboards have a friend or are a keyboard enthusiast with another colored keyboard of the same kind, and they switch half the caps. You can order keycaps from some online companies but in general you're not going to find keys that match the blackwidow's design. The fonts used on the blackwidow are a little bleh, and they're probably unique to the blackwidow. If razer came out with another keycap set based on the blackwidow's design and of a different color that'd probably be your best bet.

In general though, yeah; if you order keycaps you can fit them on your cherry keycaps. Make or buy a keycap puller and take some keys off if you are wondering how it looks.

Yes. You can get ABS keys from wasdkeyboards.com. Profile of their keys are good for Filcos. If you want PBT ones wait on one of the group buys at geekhack.org. There are a couple of threads with really nice engraved PBT caps...they're obviously more expensive though.

Taobao.com also has OEM Filco keys, but it's in Mandarin and they're only about 5 dollars cheaper then wasdkeyboards.com.

wasdkeyboards.com has really reasonable shipping.

You can't for a black widow. I mean it's possible but some of the keys in the bottom row aren't standard 104 layout. Also they don't use standard fonts so unless you buy 2 key cap sets it'll look really funny.

Turns out MC actually doesnt use a Topre Switch after all... Looks liek he just uses a typical Rubber dome like most koreans http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?21233-What-Keyboard-is-Starcraft-2-Pro-OGS-MC-use&p=402679#post402679

Hey guys i thought i would just add my 2cents to this thread, last Saturday i ordered a Xarmor U9bl from ergogeek after reading countless threads and checking out the best possible keyboard for myself i settled on this keyboard because i mainly play in low light situations so backlighting was a must for me which scratched a lot of keyboards off the list so which really left me with the razer blackwidow ultimate and a Deck keyboard.
I couldnt really find much info on the deck keyboard but i wasn't really a fan of the look of it anyways so i read alot about the blackwidow and would have bought one if it wasn't for my local store having such an outrageous markup no joke $190 (im from Australia btw, we get screwed a lot over here lol) for the blackwidow Ultimate i laughed and walked out came home and checked out the U9bl and made my purchase. i was so impressed when it turned up today after i got home from work 7 days after ordering it that i thought i would hop on here and make a recommendation to you guys that if you can afford it the xarmor u9bl it is a great keyboard (if your looking at buying a mech keyboard neways its not that much more than a blackwidow for example) its has the backlighting, it has mic headphone and usb ports, the sweet cherry blue switches, detachable wrist wrest construction seems really strong and that it turned up in exactly 7days from America to Australia im really impressed with this keyboard and would recommend anyone to check them out if your in the market
p.s. im sorry i dribbled on about about my situation and am very bad at constructing sentences and probably some spelling errors in there as well i tried to proof read but its just so much fun to type now hehe.

Hey man, thanks for letting me know where I can get one of those (most places don't ship to Australia). I love my Das Keyboard Pro S but my buddy is chasing the xarmor .

Das Keyboard Model S Ultimate Silent at home, and Noppoo Mini Mechanical Gaming keyboard Cherry MX for the office, I love them both. The Das seems to be of better quality, but the Noppoo is exceptionnal for fast typing, very sensitive, almost like red switches.

I'm thinking of getting a steelseries 6gv2 but I'm in a very cramped space and every centimetre makes a big difference

Here is says it's 45cm

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/mechanical-switch-keyboard,2955-8.html

While here it says 19.8 inches (48cm) and 9.8 high

http://gaming-keyboard-review.toptenreviews.com/steelseries-6gv2-details.html

Which is correct? Can someone give me precise measurements for this? If it's the latter then it is far too big for the space I am in, the former will just about fit in.
Also anyone who has it, what do you think about the thickness of the keyboard? Is it unusually thick or is it not noticeable? Cheers.

Everyone should check out wasdkeyboards.com if they're looking for a mechanical, they have good prices for a fully customized keyboard. Even better price if you only want semi-custom or standard. Lots of good reviews from them.

I have one myself and it is 44.5cm. The thickness is above average, but not really noticeable.

Hey guys i just found this little gem. however the sale ends soon. August 24th i believe.

For Canadians:

Infonec - $89.99 Das Keyboard Ultimate Cherry MX Blue + [S&H]

http://infonec.com/site/main.php?module=detail&id=456419

I was able to price match with NCIX and got it shipped to my house for cheaper than this website. So thats an idea too.

I paid a total of $109 including shipping and taxes by pricematching on the NCIX website.

Just thought i'd share.

I'm not sure about the printed keycaps but you should contact them and see. They'll treat you well I'm sure.

Are there any differences between filco, das, etc. keyboards with brown switches? Like would the brown switches on filco last longer than das or something? If nothing really...then which keyboard is the best brown switch keyboard? (quality i guess?).

If I am not mistaken, all switches are made from the same factory, hence it is exactly the same switch. However, for some strange reasons my Noppoo cherry brown feels more sensitive than my Das....
