Not really, the Leopolds use the Cherry corp stabilizers for its larger keys (spacebar, shift, etc.), and some people have reported stiffness/squeakiness but that hasn't happened to me, and they're supposedly more durable than the filcos (although the filcos large keys feel better), and the Leopold has rubber pads on the bottom end. but neither moves around much. More a question of which one would be cheaper to get for you than anything else really.

http://www.daskeyboard.com/blog/?p=460

Das Keyboard Model S Professional:

European 105-key Layout (UK layout)
German layout
US 104-key layout

Das Keyboard Model S Ultimate:

European 105-key layout
US 104-key layout

I assume he meant the UK one.

Looking at the getdigital.de they call it EU as well.

http://www.getdigital.de/products/Das_Keyboard_Model_S

Ultimate EU Silent 129,00 €

Not sure if it's brown switches though. I looks that way though.

http://www.daskeyboard.com/model-s-professional-silent/

It says Cherry MX brown and you get to getdigital from that site.

Getdigital.de sells them with blank key caps. They dont seem to sell the version with printed key caps. Its 129 euro though so its not exactly cheap. If you are looking for a keyboard in that price range there is the Filco brand that you might want to take a look at as well. They sell for around 135 euro for the tenkeyless version (including shipping). I'm actually typing on one with brown switches right now. Extremely nice build quality. There is also a full-sized version available. I got mine from The Keyboard Company, www.keyboardco.com - it is not available with a Norwegian layout but you can get the swedish/finnish one. I assume all the alt/alt-gr stuff is the same. Vast majority of keys would atleast be in their correct positions. Sure, it doesnt really matter much if you touch type but its nice when you decide that you really want to type µ or ¤ for some reason :p

I have never used the Das but I did a lot of research before buying the keyboards I eventually did. What made me disregard the Das was the fact that it had a glossy exterior. While it looks nice it is also a fingerprint and dust magnet. Other than that it is a good quality keyboard.

The Zowie Celeritas is a bit cheaper but the build quality just aint the same. Good enough of course but still not up there among the best. Still, its an alternative.

Good luck!

Maybe you guys can help me, I'm looking for a good mechanical keyboard and the steelseries g6v2 seems perfect to me. No handrest, minimal mate design and not to much noise. But the thing holding me back is reviexs tend to say it has tall keys. I love typing on a laptop keyboard for exemple, I'd much rather have short keys.
Does anyone know of a keyboard with short keys, no handrest or fancy stuff?

Edit : I'm not a huge fan of the loud noise of most mechanical keyboards as well, nice thing about the g6v2 is that it's not too loud.

The g6v2 is a great simple keyboard that's not that loud because it has linear black cherry switches. The only other linear cherry switch type are the rarer red ones. It seems to be a trend that if you enjoy laptop keyboards you'll also enjoy mechanicals.

If you want a simple clean keyboard that types exactly like laptops if not better, check out the logitech illuminated keyboard.

Either one would be a great choice, I've used both but recently switched to a Filco Red.

I've owned a filco tenkeyless blue switches for nearly a year now. I've thought of trying other (black/brown) switches. Recently I've been struggling trying to choose between Steelseries 6gv2 and the Zowie Celeritas to invest on as a secondary mechanical keyboard. I've tried out both in a store and they feel quite nice but there seems to be a really minor difference in feel when comparing a black switch and brown. It would be nice if people who actually owned such keyboards to give their general thoughts on them. Also, Taiwan has an extremely large gaming gear market so any other recommendations are welcome.

You can't listen to others when it comes to keyboards. The Cherry MX switches are all about personal preference. People can ofc recommend keyboards on how long they last etc, but for you I think taking the one feeling the best for you is the right thing to do.
But if you want my personal opinion on Black vs Brown. I would go for brown. They just fit better for me than the black switches. The black ones rocks at writing, but for the best gaming experience i would go for brown , but as I said you should just buy the one that has the best feel for you.

Great, you already have a mechanical keyboard with blue switches and want another one with different ones. And you've tried both options you were thinking about. But you still need external opinions. That makes less sense than all the questions I've read before that. I might be venting a bit, here, but that's just because every page in this thread contains roughly the same questions and answers.
In my opinion, go for brown.
