Had to post this found it completely Ironic. The owner of Segway you know the green personal transportation. Apparently he drove off a 30 foot cliff killing himself.
Anyone ever ride one of these? I just find them to look funny I am sure they are fun to ride on. I myself would never buy one at least in my current financial situation.
I've ridden on one. It's a complete mindfuck the first time you try to control it.
Also looks like this rich dude was a good guy - kinda sad but funny. He wasn't really "segway man" though, considering he didnt invent them - he just bought the company a year ago
It's pretty fucking sad. The man works hard to get a multimillion company, donates 20 m to charity, then ends up being laughed at by people on the internet.

Check out George Carlin on what can and is funny then come back.
I am not trying to pick on him or make his death less tragic, it was tragic, He seemed like an amazing guy. I guess its just too soon?
Segway's are already a pretty big joke as is. And the Brits are all about sarcasm and irony in their humor aren't they? I bet the late-night shows are gonna have a great time with this.
Well, if you don't know the guy, he was the guy who built a company around these engineering marvels. He's saved more than a few lives and a lot of property by mitigating floods and explosions. Too bad he had to die in what more than a few would remark to be a hilariously ironic manner.
Both tragic and hilarious at the same time, he seems like a really good guy judging by what is said about him in the article/thread.
Also, one of the reasons why i love TL.net is all these puns in news-threads. If i'd die and it get's posted on here i wouldn't mind people joking about it.

I listened to him speak [I was a WPI student] several times. The man is downright brilliant.
I don't really know anything about this guy. Sad story. Tasteless jokes are tasteless.
Hi fellow WPI student.
The thing with the segway is, it's pretty much the stupidest thing Kamen has done. He's saved lives with brilliant inventions like the insulin pump, but a wheely scooter that was supposed to change the world is a giant overpriced way to skip out on walking somewhere.
I maintain that this is just a cover up after the new flying segway prototype failed.
