So no, 4chan isn't responsible for this culture, this is just a direct extension of dumb shit you don't do in real life on the internet. This nothing compared what a forum (who's name escapes me right now) did to a kid who ripped off one of their members over shoes. Pizza, magazine subscriptions, military recruiters, and God knows what else. | ||

For instance, she could have learned it from her parents (which is my personal suspicion), from school, from family friends.
