At first I thought it was a bit much. On second thought not really. Pranks are annoying I guess. Vulgarity/names, she already had a pretty vulgar nature so it's not like this is shocking or unfamiliar. I hope they dont take it too far though, girl got her lesson, and lulz were had. Stop while ahead imo.
I wonder if the Real ID geniuses are following this story :o

Dude, you clearly have not seen the video. You can't take on the INTERNET.
And I actually think this was started by tumbler, not 4chan.

i highly warn everyone who is being a "moralfag" (the term for people who oppose anonymous attacks) to not share their opinion of such behavior. all it would take is one person to post a link to this thread and BAM we have /b/ messing with TL.
to admins: im not implying i would do such behavior. but this is imo good advice to take. 4chan controls the internets and i find the best thing is to lay low and avoid being a martyr like gawker. so yea...

Its a sign of TL's mod ability when I honestly believe they could handle this.
Also: LOL

Of course, my response is primarily to her first video, just acting like an idiot in front of virtually everyone in the world for no good reason. You can't tell me that anyone under the age of 18 needs the internet to live for any reason. If they weren't allowed online, sure they wouldn't have access to educational information, but that's what books are for. Some people even still use those things. It would, however, cut down on minors camwhoring themselves, and just being generally annoying. You really won't be able to convince me that a minor needs to partake in such mass communication before the age of 18.
However, I could be convinced that a *person* of any age could be permitted to joining the internet after successful completion (80% or higher) of an exam consisting of reading comprehension, spelling, and common netiquette.

Oh no 4chan is the devil we talked about them in a thread surely they are going to come here and troll us now.
I really think you guys are underestimating the intelligence of that community. It would be incredibly stupid for them to do that. But whatever.

or we could just leave it how it is and continue to expect parents to take responsibility for the things parents should be taking responsibility for, rather than deprive various groups of people of something useful that could help them grow.

Normally im pretty netural on this kinda stupid stuff, but honestly she was asking and deserved it. What kind on stupid 12 year old goes and post idiotic videos of themselves on the internet? And for that matter what kind of stupid parents let her do that?
Parents giving kids freedom and all that is good... but if you child is going to do something stupid, then take it away.

I played the hell out of simfarm tbh. Huge entertainment in switching from potatoes to strawberries => profit.

Honestly it was funny. I mean seriously she fucked with the wrong people. Is it wrong? Sure. But a lot of worse things happen every day. I'd rather get beat up by some thugs then have 4chan turn against me.

Well, I can't argue that this incident could, very well, help this young girl grow in the sense that she will learn that, contrary to popular belief, she is not, in fact, perfect in every way, shape, and form. I can't argue that her parent's won't most likely grow in the sense that they may very well monitor their daughter's behavior and activity online. However, I can't agree that the internet played no role whatsoever in her becoming the way she is already. Her ego had to get inflated somehow, and I find it hard to believe that she is so incredibly popular in whatever middle school she attends that she worships herself, and believes that she is the epitome of epicness.

Damn, that little girl is psychotic. That first video was just the most moronic thing I've ever seen. People actually watch that crap on youtube and shit? In the second video, you can see how retarded the father is with his super overreaction and attempt to intimidate pplz on the int3rwebz. I imagine that just fueled the 4chan fire.
After thinking about this, I really think it's inappropriate for young kids to be using the internet so early. They are too susceptible to all the stupid crap that's floating around here and cannot look at it in context. Those comments of "get aids and die," "paper cutting dicks and clits" and "im no poser" are just something that a child should not take too seriously, and as we all know are way too prevalent in the internet. I mean she probably still believes in santa clause and shit. Parenting just got harder in the 21st century and they should take appropriate action in educating/protecting their children to the influences of the internet.

i was more worried about DDoS than forum trolling. 4chan is essentially Fight Club on the internet. we are legion>>>"his name is robert paulsen"
but 4chan has actually done good they find kids who make bomb threats, report people who post cp, and even shut down ahmadinejad's campaign website and made a concerted effort to disrupt his rigged elections in any way possible. 4chan are more like the footsoldiers of anonymous most of it originates on 7chan and other various /i/ websites.
