What the fuck is this, apparently you now need to log onto Battle.net to be able to use the Editor.... Seriously are they serious with this one ?

It's probably a one time deal on the editor thing.

I downloaded the installer and *installed* the client again today. The game starts without patching (with the old black n' yellow loadingbar). Fix anyone?
edit: sometimes it gives me the "Your login information was incorrect. Please try again." and then "Battle.net may be temporarily unavailable or your internet connection may be down. Please check your connection and try again.". Even though I didn't even try to log in or anything of the likes. Haven't had any problems with this before.
same problem here.
it doesn't start patching after fresh install (EU)
weird

Older versions have been deleted, that's why this patch was so big...

That's the always connected experience for you...
Didn't they confirm that you would be able to play single player while offline? At least for the full version, Map Editor should be available offline.
Probably just a beta thing. Or me being an eternal optimist.

Apparently f-secure detects a couple of trojans while installing the patch (official sc2b downloader from battle.net). Seems odd..

everyone from EU who cant download patch: create realmlist.stf in your SC2/Support folder write in it:
set patchlist eu-beta.patch.battle.net:1120/patch
worked for me

it wasn't open. only the updater is.

PLEASE before everyone starts complaining about the map editor, realize that Blizzard has not announced the beta is back up yet. We're obviously eager to download the patch, but BNet isn't up yet to follow - more than likely you'll have to authenticate to BNet once before you can use the map editor offline, like they've said you'll have to for the single player mode.

You have to create the realmlist.stf yourself. It's written earlier in this thread how you do it.
Worked for me.

all of this confusion is a wonderful sight to behold.

I've downloaded the update and been able to launch n stuff. Only think noteworthy is that I got notified my graph card was not recognized.

And now SCAllin1 doenst work anymore, rite?
|
Guys just create the .stf file as was explained a few pages ago... worked for me from a fresh EU install
