Reconnecting to a dropped game?

It would be nice to be able to re-connect to a dropped game within a minute or two of disconnecting. If my router craps out, or my network locks up for a few seconds and i get dropped, why should i have to lose my last 10-20 minutes of game time? Heroes of Newerth does this and it has saved countless games..

If your opponent sees you drop, you will almost always lose anyways even if you are just gone for a couple minutes.

The connected player doesn't keep playing while you scramble to reconnect.....
Bronze skipping straight to Diamond in 40 games retail release. Bnet 2.0 ladder really takes it's sweet time to think about that league placement.

It makes more sense in HoN because there are still 9 other people who will be playing. In starcraft you cant play when your partner is disconnected, the advantage you would gain would be immense.
In HoN being disconnected isnt as huge since your character will be protected by towers and the fountain etc.
In the end, you probably wont see a reconnector for 1v1s since it could easily lead to abuse by assholes

Oh...so you expect your opponent to already wait longer than the 1 minute required...then that's is just a flat out no. You can't just wait forever for your opponent to get back on.

it could be a really useful feature for 2v2s and UMS games
for 1v1 it wouldn't be that important since even a 30 second disconnect could lose you the game

it should force pause for like 90 seconds to 2 mins but only work once a game to prevent griefing

I get so impatient waiting those 30 seconds or whatever for people to drop. I can't imagine having to wait for 2 minutes.

Either get a more stable computer/internet connection/router, or just deal with a disconnect here and there. It's not that big of a deal.
