I guess Great was going for a gas-heavy lead-in to ultra/ling/defiler, and Tempest exploited the timing where Great was weakest--expanding/teching to hive. It all came down to that battle in the bottom right of the map that Tempest won. It sent Great back far enough for Tempest to start knocking down his natural.

Tempest hasn't even been expanding these past two games, just putting all his cash into units and picking fights. great screwed up when he fed Tempest his army in the deciding fight in the center just before his defilers popped, erroneously thinking that Tempest had fewer units than he actually had. Then all Tempest had to do was keep pumping zealots and it was over.
VVV It wasn't a last stand. Not that sniping observers and templars didn't hurt great. He might just barely have held on if he had, because while he did give up his natural he did kill all of tempest's army except for the zealots that Tempest was constantly pumping out near the end. Problem was that great also had no units at all to go against those few zealots.

July(mainly in zvp), Jaedong, Effort all have sick macro play. Micro is completely linked to the success of zerg macro. Think about it. By the very mechanics of zergs production method micro+macro are more closely related than any other race. Great players create their own macro by microing well, gaining an advantage and using that advantage to produce some extra drones at a time where they might otherwise be forced to make units. That is the art and beauty of zerg play and the main reason I switched to them.
Great is a solid zerg but hes not the best at anything at this point in his career. I think greats decesion to make a final stand where he did and at the time he did cost him this game. Great shouldve made a little sunk/spore defense and actually sniped some obs=/ His failure to snipe any templars or even obs hurt him so bad. The reason tempest got the timing he did is because great made it so easy for him.
A perfect example of fantastic micro leading into unreal macro is Jaedong vs Leta at outsider. Leta does his great version of 2 port wraith but Jaedong counters it beautifully with sick multitask, a fast spire, fast ovie speed and an early 2nd gas. By reversing the role and applying pressure with sick micro(he kept many overlords near his attacking force of mutas) he was able to quickly take 4 bases and an unreal amount of gas. The result of these two elements perfectly combined allowed a master like jaedong to completely overwhelm a build that slaughtered many with only mutilisks. Not only that he made it look easy.

Great is really good at macro, while effort july and jaedong are great at macro AND everything else lol.
What i should have said was one of the best macro zergs. As you said, he wasn't sniping anything, and was throwing away his army - because he is a pretty much all macro zerg and not as much micro/sense as other zergs. His macro is probably better, but other zergs pull off theres better.

One gate tech for both players, Robo out for Jangbi. Robo goes down for Tempest. Jangbi's is significantly earlier, done now while Tempest is still 1/4ths done.
Tempest should be able to ride his significant advantage into a win unless Jangbi just completely outplays him. Pretty obvious sounding but Jangbi could do it. He's done it before.
Silly Tempest. Jangbi had to fight Bisu in 2 finals back to back. His PvP is pretty insane. Also a while back, he was in that crazy group of 4 dragons fighting.. for MSL or OSL.. i forgot.

YESSSSSSSSSS FBH. FBH is the correct choice because his TvZ and TvT is good. However, Stork's PvZ is his weakest match-up and KT has Luxury left to bring out. So FBH is the better choice.

FBH has been playing like utter garbage lately, while Stork has at least been somewhat decent. His late game PvZ is pretty damn good if he gets there. FBH has the capability of playing good TvZ and TvT, but I haven't seen anything of the sort lately.

Fbh does blow, but everyone practically knows the bo5 between him and savior. Hate him or love him, doesn't matter. In that way, he left a better impression then most pros. Sure Iris is great and he played great against the likes of bisu, but if you're just taking that into account, then anybody could be great. Its the impact that he left. All pros have played at least one epic game. Does that mean all pros are awesome like iris? No! Forgg was awesome when he won his title. Now we know him as failgg. In this way, fbh impressed me more than iris ever has and the argument started off saying that iris never impressed me. firebathero never got past the semifinals of any major individual league, and iris has reached the finals (and almost won) and also made several other semifinals. even team wise, iris is his teams captain and leader, while fbh is clearly not as important as stork, jangbi, and now great (and i think miracle is better than him). add to that fbh had like 1 season of good results while iris has been consistently good for several years now, with only one minor slump.

In all honesty however, FBH has been sucking it up lately, whereas Iris has shown that he can play very well in series preparation. (He sucked it up in PL however). The guy's played very solidly as of late, and has shown some VERY impressive play in TvZ before. (vs GGPlay/Savior). His series against GGPlay was pretty sick at the time. If it weren't for GGPlay's ridiculous swarm abuse, Iris woulda had an OSL title. Same goes with his match against Savior on Neo Arkanoid.
We remember Iris for being on the losing side of some very epic series, but we forget that he played ridiculously well and was outplayed because the winner was simply out of his mind that day. No one besides maybe Midas back in the day could even touch Savior in ZvT.
FBH is just known for being a turtling failure who likes to dance silly dances when he wins. However, he is very entertaining to watch against Protoss. His in game play vs Protoss is quite hilarious. Iris is very solid in all three matchups. Series play benefits his game a lot.

Uhh, no, Savior definitely was NOT in his prime by then. The FBH loss was more like a nail in Savior's ZvT coffin. Oh and by the way, while Savior was losing 3-2 to FBH in MSL, he was also losing 2-0 to Iris in OSL, the same OSL Iris made the finals for and was up 2-0 before losing in a 5th EPIC game.
And when Savior WAS in his prime, the Terran who came by far the closest to beating him was none other than Iris, in the MSL semifinals series with the legendary Neo Arkanoid game as game 5.
So basically you're completely wrong about everything - everyone just remembers the FBH Savior series because of what it spawned afterward.
True savior wasn't in his prime, but you can't deny the impression that it left. Iris never left that kind of impression. Everyones played epic games before, but how many leaves that kind of impression?
Ur opinion, you state and defend it as fact.
So, did iris leave a game that is as famous or infamous in some case as fbh v savior? It might just be because of what happened to savior afterwards, but it was a big thing.
