The 4pool was beautifully executed, and though Fantasy made mistakes defending it, you can't deny Jaedong's amazing control. The last game wasn't even all-in; with all that delaying, Jaedong could've won easily with either lurkers or mutas if he had somehow ultimately failed to take down the wall. Still, Fantasy played great in the first two games. Stellar dropship play as usual, and I thought his army control on Outsider was good (by Fantasy standards). I'm surprised that he didn't attempt more build variation (not a single bunker rush, what?); he's about to establish himself as a mechanical rather than a creative player, and with the flaws he admittedly has in his mechanics, that's not a good thing. Overall, Fantasy showed that his control is a step or two below Flash's who remains the supreme TvZ monster. Not sure where this places him compared to Iris, Leta, Canata, Hwasin, etc. Despite signs of weakness in this series, his dropship and vulture play (to the extent he was able to pull it off) was good, and gave a Jaedong a run for his money. It could've easily worked against a lesser zerg. Too bad we won't see how it would fare against YellOw[ArnC]. TvZ would've been better than ZvZ for the finals, and especially with YellOw[ArnC], but at least it'll be with two good players (and not, say, type-b vs ZerO). Not that YellOw[ArnC]'s ZvZ record is anywhere close to Jaedong's, but he's been playing really well recently, and if he keeps up, it'll be a very exciting series. I'm much more annoyed by the lack of Ps near finals as of late, than by the prospect of a ZvZ. Well earned by Jaedong! The Outsider game was massive, too! | ||
