Just like Flash stopped a Bisu/JD Semis in Bacchus, but that was okay, since the Flash/Bisu series was pretty good. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy? Rule does not apply to JD in both the MSLs that he received a medal.

That was possibly the best game of 2009. Can't say for certain, but so far, to me, it has been. not really... they were all getting harassed the shit out of and Iris had a lot running as well. i mean the whole time he was struggling to keep them running and he was hoping they won't get harassed i thought. it was pretty sad that bisu didn't defend those expansions from the dropships well enough

Seriously, whenever people assemble 'best games of the year' lists, they always include a whole lot of Bisu. Unfortunately, he often loses those games ![]() I've noticed this too. He does seem to be on the receiving end of epic games and weird strats more often than expected. Any idea why? Pure coincidence? I assume part of it is because he's good but Jaedong/Flash/fantasy don't seem to have that problem.

Rule does not apply to JD in both the MSLs that he received a medal. Iris/JD finals will still be amazing. I mean, just look at some of their previous games like the game on Python or Chupung. Their styles lead to an automatically awesome and entertaining zvt/tvz series.

Jaedong had that problem for a little while, with his 3set vs Free, his first game vs FBH, and his game vs Sea @Andromeda. I'm putting this off as coinincidence. It's easier to notice when it happens to a prominent player. On August 05 2009 05:37 Harem wrote: Iris/JD finals will still be amazing. Yep, both are very aggressive, I'm sure even if Iris goes all mech it will be exciting. Ofc, Jaedong's won all their games before...so I should like the MU.

Why so many doubters? I haven't liquibetted in a while, but Iris would've gotten my vote for sure. It's sort of clear what Iris was practicing for. He didn't perform THAT great in proleague. I know Perfectman is a toss as well, but there's still different play styles and all that. Oh well, IRIS WIN MSL!!!! Also when the game went into mid game macro mode, I totally forgot Iris defended against 2 gate goon range and proxy reavers. That was such a sick game. Iris held with like the bare minimum so many times.

There are plenty of times where Bisu is praised for his great play and management but tonight he deserved no such praise. The only games he won were from cheese. As it has been stated before if any other player had done they would be flamed to high heaven just as Bisu is right now. Iris was truly the better player in this series. And yeah, if Bisu acts all confident and what not then proceeds to only be able to win through cheese, he's going to get flamed for that. JD went into the week practicing harder than any of his opponents and was able to follow through on his promise. Worship granted. When it comes to haters on TL Flash has the biggest number here on TL. Bisu has some haters but also incredibly rabid fanboys. And Jaedong... I think Jaedong always had a special treatment on TL. People are willing to forgive him a lot, both in terms of bad play and in terms of interviews (just compare people reactions to Flash vs Jaedong interviews) Btw, Bisu didn't play bad... I think that the choice of proxy dt on outsider was just great. That's sth called preparation. He countered incoming 2 fac just perfectly. The cheese on Heartbreak, I'm not sure if he planned it but he lost the game on Carthage in a painful way. Can't blame here that he uses proxy gate. That map is cheesy anyway. And he executed both really well. Also his timing attack on Heartbreak was amazing. And in the deciding game he played really well. Just that one decision, not to defend the expo but go for hallucination attack cost him the series.

I've been in the top 10 a few times this past round of LB. Second for a while, hovering around fifth for longer. Point is, some people know a bit about how to consider LB and others do not. Bets have 3 things that you need to consider. 1) Who you think will win. This is obvious as it is the purpose of liquibet. The thing is, many people's perception of it ends here and that is a shallow view of the situation. 2) Who you hope will win. I love the competition and skill involved with liquibetting. That said, when it comes down to it, I will not bet against a player or team I really want. Rooting for players and teams is what sports, ESPORTS included, are all about. If liquibet disemboweled this facet of my enjoyment of starcraft for me I wouldn't participate. Bet with your brain, but if you don't bet with your guts you'll end up sad anyways. 3) Who other people think will win. This is the most important. If it's Bisu vs Iris everyone knows the graph will look like that. If you bet Bisu, you have little to lose and little to gain because everyone is doing the same thing. If you bet against the favorite you have a chance to increase your ranking but you also are liable to drop a long ways (this from experience ofc). The other option is voting with what you assume the crowd's vote to be. This is the way to gain on noobs, but not the way to gain on your pro peers. Thus, you must vote with who the favorite is most of the time and vote against the favorite only when both you think you are in the minority doing so and the underdog has a decent shot. Point is being a "doubter" is the way to gain points on the people who only follow my rule 1. I'm sure you didn't take the issue as seriously as I did, but I hope to have indicated why people voted as they did. I also hope I helped some people with LB for next season. Cheers. ![]()

What about Flash above Stork, who also has 1 OSL and a shitton more silvers?

His play in the earlier games was quite good so perhaps he is slumping and isn't meant to win any more titles. TBH it looked a lot like he was worn out by game 5. When it got to the last FPView they showed of him, it felt like he slowed down a lot compared to earlier in the series.
