JD will have to watch out, this is very similar to Arena (obv. some differences), and only one terran has ever lost an MSL Finals. JD can't cheese with lings, scientifically proven fact. He can with lurkers.

It's probably confidence issues, plus he doesn't seem to have kept up with the very latest (subtle) rise in ZvZ skills/strategy. Kwanro clearly has kept up, and it showed in this series. Effort has too, but he's just had the misfortune of running into Jaedong and getting read like a book by Calm.

This was CJ's tournament from the start, though. Qualifying like 7 people? Bout time someone filled Savior's shoes and went for those titles.

Iris didn't have too pull out anything extraordinary (well, maybe except 5th game micro). Bisu was beaten by himself.

Maybe Iris will finally start to get more credit around here. His accomplishments in gom were largely ignored. The powerrank is looking awfully messed up now, perhaps number 3 and 7 would be switched now given the new results;) If you dont think Iris is being underestimated , look at the recent voting statistics for liquibet in Iris's games.

Almost feels like the story of his career this year. I remember how shocked people were when Iris knocked out Bisu back in the CJ/SKT Winners League match. Not sure why people were so surprised. He cleaned out a lot of teams that round.

I <3 Bisu but at the same time I'm really excited for Iris. I expected a complete walk-over. Congrats to Iris. Kind of sad the zerg matchup was so one sided though. I really like both those players as well. GG!

No, he's making it so in the case that Jaedong won't sweep Iris, they get to rag on him for having trouble with such an "easy" opponent. Or trying to downplay his accomplishment. Jaedong should've have learned his lesson from Arena. Iris is clearly dangerous. Sure Effort didn't practice for GOM, but none of the games were close except for the first one, but Iris wasn't in too much trouble of losing that one. Bisu had 2 weeks to practice only for this series while Iris had proleague and GOM, and Iris still won.

![]() Felt like making a (de)motivational poster out of this picture because Iris shares the rage that all Terrans share. His rage was so strong and hatred so great that he couldn't settle for anything else than winning. I watched the series on youtube this morning, and when I got to the 5th game I couldn't help but notice it was 36 minutes long. After Bisu's push at the 9 minute mark I thought to myself, "wtf is going on here, how could this game possibly be 35 minutes?" I watched the game some more, and when Bisu pushed into Iris's natural killing everything in his path at around the 22 minute mark, I convinced myself that Iris could not win the game, and that Bisu would just have a long delayed win. I scrolled down to read some comments and was shocked to learn that Iris wins the game. I immediately go back to watching the game and sit amazed as Iris holds Bisu off again and again and again. Absolutely fantastic game. Iris has made a fan out of me.
