that was a really cool all-in guardian build from hydra
flash's muta defense was about as perfect as you can get and it the guardian/ling timing attack still almost broke him - if it were another terran and not the fluid "bend-but-never-break" defense of Flash i could see hyvaa taking that game down (a nice feat for Rush Hour III)

Yeah, no way Flash was going to lose after stopping the guardian push. Hyvaa has no ups and no gas vs. 10+ vessels and 6 rax MM pump. Although it looked close really Flash could have lifted the CC and kept pulling back for even more time. It's only GG if the guardians and lings are in his main on top of the raxes before the vessels/wraiths get the guardians down.

He didn't really have a choice. If he tried to switch to something like ultras, defiler/ling, or lurkers he would be just as screwed. While switching he would let Flash recover and then Flash would just steam roll him, it's not like Flash had 12 vessels when Hyvaa went for guardians. His only chance of winning was this guardian ling strategy which he was committed to even getting +1 air attack.

well he showed him the 2 fac and then went 2 addon, which gives a later but more powerful attack. but since he showed him the build flash cut scvs for a fast 2nd fac and got a bunch of extra marines so by the time the attack came he was easily prepared.
after flash scouted the build really shoulda just gone straight vulture without addons into goliath, no way he was gonna bust him given that much time to prepare.

It's not like the Korean SC scene is going to evaporate as soon as SC2 comes out. If they were looking for a game with shinier graphics to replace the current SC they would've gotten rid of it long ago. Even if SC2 does end up being equal or better as a competitive game I think it'll be a while before interest in BW dwindles enough for the leagues to stop running.
