I actually thought flash would win until he sacrificed all his vultures and lost mapcontrol.. Well, Jaedong thought he could handle the marines/medics with Zerglings. For a second it looked like he could. Haha it's kinda funny how in the MSL (I think it was) Group Selections, many players voted Hwasin as the guy with great skills and horrible luck. I can't agree more. He's certianly good enough to have a badge, yet he always ran into immovable walls like Bisu, sAviOr at his prime, Jaedong, etc. I am really happy he managed to do this last night - it was a statement. Hopefully it provides him enough confidence to do something greater this season.

This time he did really good though, lets wait for the best of Xs. Firebathero knowcked out, no shame though.. entering a tourny, first two players you have to beat is Flash and jaedong omg.

But it doesn't matter, he had more lings produced and those bats made it possible for hwasin to damage jaedongs eco. Without those bats there so early jaedong would have killed the marines and taken no damage. However i guess hwasin anticipated this and made 2 early bats for killing zerglings. Jaedong did the wrong move, maybe he had not enough scouting information, or he was just too confident with his lings and didn't place a sunken.

GOOD b. you do a good surround, trade armies, then the mutas come out and he has less marines to defend it back at base than he would like -- GOOD to GREAT depending on how many lings you have left over only thing bad is c. you do a completely ineffective surround and now have no lings and no sunk and mutas probably wont come out in time SUCKS However, I agree with you anyway because Jaedong has proven he CAN take Hwasin in the midgame and has no reason to be putting himself in ANY unecessary risk. Just do a standard # of sunkens for his marine count and go into a normal midgame with a normal late game.

Why did Jaedong go for 2 hatch Muta when Flash easily adapted his FE to this? The muta harass wasn't effective. FlaSh had very good turret placement and enough if marines to defend. Jaedong also saw with Mutas when science facility and starport were being built so he should have known that FlaSh Vessels were on the way. And STILL Jaedong went Guardians. The map has narrow entrances that should favor Lurkers? Maybe if he rushed for Defiler instead of Guardians and spend gas to make more Lurkers and 2 Queens he could have crushed that Terran ball. FlaSh is a player that rarely makes big mistakes and it looked Jaedong was behind that game all the time and the reason for that is that he choosed a bad strategy for the map and FlaSh knew what Jaedong was up to. I'm not a expert so correct me if I'm wrong. Imo FlaSh played safe and Jaedong lack of strategy cost him the game.

It was equally tough for his opponents, since they had to play 2 races, though I guess JD one ups that with his 4 proleague games + game vs Luxury.
