Jaedong has lost 11 games since his win over Kal in the MSL final. His ELO peak was around that time as well so he was on top of his game. Of those 11 games 6 were due to either special strat or a very imba map. Losses vs Ruby, Casy, Backho, and Bisu were due to a cheeze/special strat. (Similarly he before lost once against Best and 5 times to Flash including GSI, 2 of them against metal). So out of the past 11 games 4 were due to strat, 2 were due to imba map Tiamat, and 5 (less than half) were straight up losses against Mind, Hwasin, and Oversky. ForGG must cheese or do a metal build like Idra suggested to win. He has strong straight up play but his chances are much higher if he takes the special strat route. I remember how he pulled out a sunken bust against Kwanro in PL finals. That game was as important as any game in this upcoming final so I believe he has the mental capability of successfully pulling off a cheese. If he goes metal on Colesseum, does the 4 rax quick grade on Tiamat (like Hwasin) and tries a sunk bust in another game, he has a good chance of winning. (Btw Jaedong lost to a sunk break against Frozean before). If he playes straight up, he will not beat Jaedong. Jaedong's play is just untouchable right now. Lomo did the right thing by Buk rushing and sunk busting Jaedong in the GSL. ForGG must follow suit. I have an issue with stating that Jaedong is weak to cheese and weird builds, honestly. I think at some point (after he lost a couple ZvTs to some sunken breaks) players started realizing that not only was Jaedong beatable, but that he seemed to be weak early game. I think his losses can be chalked up to more that everyone has been cheesing him since then - not that he's actually any weaker to those type of builds than anyone else. If anything, he often has that sixth sense progamers get when they have a feeling they're being cheesed. I mean cmon, we've seen him absolutely turn around situations you'd think he would be doomed in. He has the micro to beat that type of stuff (see his most recent game vs Lucifer, though I'm sure you have) I guess what I'm trying to say is that cheese builds inherently take a little bit of the skill factor away from the game. Not completely, obviously, but they can even the gaps between players quite a bit. In that sense, I don't think I'm disagreeing with what I quoted at all - ForGG's best chance of winning probably does involve some tricky moves. I still think he'll lose if he tries them against JD, though, as they really aren't his strongest type of play. He's improved all aspects of his game since we first saw him, but his macro is still what makes him as good as he is. It's really hard to even have a conversation about the finals like this, simply because Jaedong often seems literally unstoppable. I'm with the others who think that he plays at a level that we haven't yet seen before. He is everywhere, doing everything. His focus is unmatched, and when you combine that with his mechanics and strategic play, which he's proved again and again are just simply the best, it's nearly impossible to believe he's beatable in a bo5.

Read this again with "Flash" instead of "Jaedong" and you might see why ForGG has a great chance of winning.

I never bought into the Flash hype, and especially not the entire bit where he was supposed to be better than Jaedong because he won some bo3s, even after losing that bo5. Flash had a streak, and it's been clear for a while that his risky early game play has given him advantages he wouldn't otherwise have (not to take too much away from him, because he's still amazingly good mechanics-wise). ForGG dismantled him, sure enough, but does Jaedong even have a hint of that same type of weakness? I sincerely doubt it.
