Seriously, yarnc isn't even good at zvz. He's definately getting worse at the moment. Yeah, he is getting worse, and I'm not talking about his micro either. His game mind is deteriorating, he's constantly making very poor decisions that make even the average spectator go "what were you thinking??". The Chalrenge game has almost a dozen such situations, it's almost painful to watch. I'd love to see him do well again, but an average ZvZ win doesn't really make a difference in any direction, especially when it's preceded by a fiasco of a ZvP.

There are certain very special, very rare moments in every career, moments of such importance to the player that they may determine the path of his future career. To play in an ace match, the deciding game in a tournament your whole team's been working for all season, to play that game after having lost games left and right, lost your Bonjwa title, lost your confidence, in short to play one game that will show yourself, your coach and your team if you're still the leader in who they can trust or have fallen for good and are no more than a mediocre player unable to lead them, that's something so intense you can't understand what's going on inside a player's head unless you've experienced it. Had he lost this game, I'm fairly certain he would never have returned as the Savior we knew. Fortunately he didn't and with this win my hope as a Savior fan comes back. His confidence will get a huge boost, the tension he's built up in the past months will be so much easier to bear. He stopped his downward spiral and is at the start of a new chapter in his career. Hopefully he can turn this great moment into the beginning of the return of the old Savior.

Also consider the OSL group selection which recently happened: Savior asked Jaedong to pick him to get a new surge of motivation, as he is to play the new zerg prince in the first match of the new OSL and created the "group of death" together with him (ok, BeSt doesn't count). Savior is definitely trying to define new goals and to surpass his period of weakness.

This is the MAESTRO OF MOTHERFUCKING ZERG, the mutalisk using, defiler abusing, Shinhan 3 cruising motherfucker himself. His only ZvZ in 46 games was a win against Yarnc in the ACE match of proleague playoffs? sAviOr is fucking ICEMAN clutch as hell ![]() I'll never stop believing. I like how there's a double standard here. People are allowed to hate on Bisu, but no one is allowed to touch Savior. So basically, likewise, all Bisu haters can go fuck themselves (and hopefully realize what hypocrites they are). Anyways, I'm glad Savior pulled through in that crucial moment. He's my second fav SC player, and I really hope he comes back soon. On January 09 2008 04:32 Dahlia... wrote: not as much as the "SAVIOR IS MAESTRO IM SPRAYING EVERYWHERE!!" people

Just watched the entire set, and after I saw Savior's horrible loss vs. Chal yelling "FINISH THAT NEXUS!!" I knew OGN would win because that was a huge momentum swing. Then they send hm for ace, fighting ZvZ? knew he was going to loose in his weakes mu. OMFG, that ling battle. . . OMFG! Fuck I yelled so loud, louder that the commentators, fangirls, and that dude combined! He fucking did it omg. I could only imagine what was going through his mind before, and after the game. In short, as the playoffs continue, let's not forget the coaches who are responsible for so much but get so little credit.

more of an attempt to repair his player's psychology than to win the match.

I agree he picked Savior to show he still had faith in him and push him further, but Savior's psychology needed repairing long before the Chalrenge match. He didn't have to wait till he lost to pick him. And there's no way a coach picks a random player on the spur of the moment for an ace. I'm sure the decision was made long before.
