more of an attempt to repair his player's psychology than to win the match. I agree he picked Savior to show he still had faith in him and push him further, but Savior's psychology needed repairing long before the Chalrenge match. He didn't have to wait till he lost to pick him. And there's no way a coach picks a random player on the spur of the moment for an ace. I'm sure the decision was made long before.
Yah, I can't read korean but I threw in the savior interview to a translator and tried to piece the parts together, and it seemed to say something about how the decision was finalized way before, savior was playing the ace match.

I think the choice to play Savior in the ace match was pretty smart of CJ. It was fairly obvious that Yarnc was going to be playing the ace match given that he was conspicuously left out of the regular line-up.
Yarnc only has one good match-up: ZvT, so it would have been stupid for CJ to play into that by sending one of their T players. Especially considering that Yarnc/OGN must have been expecting a Terran player from CJ to play the ace match.
They ended up catching Yarnc in his worst match-up and also probably the match-up he had been practicing the least recently.

Savior was boiling with emotions after the match. He must be thinking he had been disappointing all his fans lately, and yet his teammate and coach still belief in him to be the best player out there every single time he's called up. Just from seeing that, it is logical to infer that he hasn't been slacking off, he had been trying everything he could to win all his matches, but the result isn't there and he's getting very frustrated, and this game he released a lot of those emotions.
PS. I shouted outloud during that ling fight too, my roommates were like wtf?

He also knows how to show that he has faith in his players, so much so that the faith becomes self justifying. In short, as the playoffs continue, let's not forget the coaches who are responsible for so much but get so little credit. And you've talked to him and confirmed that, or read some interview or article detailing that? Or are you hoping it's true because it makes a nice story.
I'm guessing it's the last one. You guys are becoming senseless about this.

Yeah, who wouldn't believe something based on the work of Babelfish? When I did that it told me sAviOr's secret weapon was his onion patch which pantleg couldn't loathe.

I've missed to watch these games live. Sadly. But when watching the Ace I was excited as never before about a starcraft match. And when I heard the fangirls scream there was no doubt: Savior = the true heir to the emperor
btw best thread ever lolz

People are allowed to hate on Bisu, but no one is allowed to touch Savior
It's not a double standard. If I was a Bisu fan you could probably replace the above "Maestro"'s with Bruce Lee or Beesuit or something. However, I'm a sAviOr lover through and through so it's not going to happen.
Sry about double post.

That's great that he talked to them but all the crazies in this thread are trying to force themselves to believe he magically repaired his psyche or that he's back in fighting form because he beat a 44% ZvZ player. His NaDa victory was much more inspiring and he still played like shit after that.

You don't understand that SaviOr is a player than went trough this kind of pressure in finals/semi-finals/whatever before. Even though hes "slumping", he has more nervers than anyone else on the CJ team. I felt like sending savior was a "wrong" decision not because of what it implies but because of his winning % lately.
Look how savior breaks down after winning. Everyone's hand would probably be shaking after that win or loss (whatever the result might be) because savior after winning usually felt like the screen just paused, his face standing still, not even a move. But after this game he just hugged everyone and sat down to put his toughts together. I think IriS, Much, DarkElf were probably on a higher playing level for a match, but not as prepared for an ace match maybe.

If Savior lost that Ace match it's too big a symbolic loss. Savior can't expect to keep his reputation and lose games like that. It's so sad but true.
It sucks to be Savior right now. Only one way to go it seems.

Your understanding of the games and the progaming scene is way narrower than hims, so think twice before making garbage posts like this.

The great thing about next weeks match is that the two best coaches in the business (imo) go head to head (and its always great)... Coach Ha is similar to Coach Cho in a number of ways (also very different); regardless it will be great

Anyone have the MBC version of the ace match? Their music is so much better.

savior, i believe in u. always have. always will.

some of savior's fans need to chill. that was a great win and an awesome moment, but jesus, some of these people are starting to make me dislike savior the same way reach's fanboys turned me against him.
was a fun match, though.
