Sure, advantages exist, but if you think strats can't be tailored in a bo5/7 to catch them with their pants down that's on you. Also, having maps skew towards your race has an added psychological debuff in becoming complacant because you assume you're stronger because of the map -- they might not put in enough effort and just play standard and lose because of that. So... advantage Flash, for sure, but don't count out Bisu/Soma/JD/Rain just yet. | ||

Fair point I guess, I think maybe it’s a combination of Terrans figuring out a lot of new stuff lately and getting help from maps. I don’t think SOOP could have anticipated that combination, so I was a big too quick to judge. Ro. 16 should be better. Still gutted Rush, Queen and Best is not in it. Leta appeared to be playing a great macro game vs best but it was more the map bring incredibly T favoured in straight up play, so easy to get 4 defendable bases. | ||

Secondly, the ingenuity and grit pros have to overcome these issues is inspiring. I wouldn't count anyone out to find tailored solutions to these maps to, at the very least, give them a fighting chance. For clarity: I still think the maps are very T favored, just laying out the conditions out in the open one also has to consider. | ||

Queen botched that attack in the final game. He ran seven zerglings in instead of killing the empty bunker, then moved them to a corner attacking nothing while being slowly killed by the wraiths. I feel like he focused too hard on his mutas in the natural and just abandoned the lings. Then threw everything he had a now-loaded bunker and lost everything. Not looking forward to 500 terrans, but I'm glad Leta is among them for some spice. | ||
