And this peruvian guy have been mapping since 2006... and this peruvian guy has won a dozen of mapping competitions in the last 17 years... I don't want it to look like I'm bragging. I just feel proud of this. I didn't know about this new rule because i was in bed (I have a fever right now), and i think this rule is a good thing! just let me know if you want Daliz and Conan to edit their posts and paste their bnet tags, or if i can provide them (i know their tags). Last question: why are they creating their accounts today? I've been talking to many LATAM players since the 1st round of the competition and 2nd round of the competition but they didn't create their accounts and they didn't vote. This time, i contacted them again. The big difference is that this time:
I didn't ask thenm to explicitly vote for my map. I usualy say something like "your vote is important for the mapping community" but i see some of them are writing things like "go go Perú" or "go go Test" so i will try to make sure they understand the message: vote for the 2 favorite maps on the list, regardless of the nationality of the author. Final words Please guys, remember that people from Latam don't have TL accounts (as you can see, not even Conan had an account until yesterday) and many american and european community members have a TL account since 2005 or 2006... So, this new rule can feel offensive for some players because It feels like an anti-latino rule. Whe i explained this new rule to them, some of them said "omg they are so xenophobic" haha. So... would you guys consider adding this rulle for all the users? instead of only new accounts? And didn't have an account at that moment. Most of the people i contacted didn't register. And if they vote in this round, they will probably have to create a new account to do that. Thank you for reading, i'll go back to bed (sorry but i feel super sick right now). I'm so sorry this new users made you think someone is cheating. I love this game, and i would never do somethig that can ruin this beautiful game, or this beautiful community. I find some of your comments a litttle bit toxic, and one of the most valuable characteristics of the StarCraft Community is the 0% toxicity. This community is not toxic, because we are all adults. And have more important things to do than cheating on a contest. Have a nice day!!! | ||

But i always say "i'm not telling you to explicitly vote for my map" and i always say "please look at the pictures or download the maps, and choose the 2 maps you like the most". I will now write a laaaarger message explaining the essence of competition. And encourage players to vote regardless of the nationallity of the authors. And i will state that voting for a maps just because it's peruvian is something we don't want in this competition. Esos conceptos no corresponden con TL y aunque entiendo tu incomodidad por la nueva regla y por el comentario hablando de "situaciones sospechosas" también creo que es sano para una competencia justa. Hay muchos jugadores latinos que postean en TL partiendo por la latincup y muchos otros que aparecen de vez en cuando, no creo que pedir información adicional para justificar la veracidad de un voto sea antilatino. Si de alguna forma tu conseguiste apoyo externo a tl me parece bien, de todas formas las cuenta nuevas todas tienen que justificarse, sean latinas o no. Por el contrario, si alguien se da el tiempo de crearse una cuenta nueva para votar por ti (u otra persona) no veo como sea más trabajo justificar que participas en alguna comunidad de bw posteando un tag. Como sea, el latino = nuevo no aplica. Exito. | ||

I just don't like this kind of voting promotion shennanigans. Would say the same if anyone incentivized his/hers army of fans to "mass" vote in any other voting contest, be it on YT, fb, twitter, doesn't matter. Not every top4 map maker here can just promote this contest to hundreds (thousands? I know LatAm community is quite big indeed) of viewers which will OBVIOUSLY vote for his map as #1 (because he is a part of the community while other contestants are not). So it's not like I hate the map or that I'm prejudiced against LatAm.. it's just that I find this kind of stuff.. distasteful. That's all  | ||

Yesterday, a Bolivian streamer had more than 900 people watching his stream, and he opened this page, and showed how to vote. He didn't tell his audience to explicitly vote for my map. He just showed some examples from the top part of the page (and he read aloud some votes with the maps sand storm and lights out). The result: out of more than 900 viewers, only 1 people voted: maxwelldark5. But, guess what, he didn't pick 2 maps, and he didn't provide his bnet tag. So his vote is not valid. And... the most funny thing: the streamer who spent a couple of minutes showing the page didn't vote  | ||

I contacted latinamerican caster and streamers to promote the voting. I guess it's true that some users are voting for my map only because it's a peruvian map... I made sure these influencers are communicating the right message "vote for your favorite 2 maps" and "we are not asking to excplicitly vote for the peruvian map, just vote for the 2 maps you liked the most" but i think the latam community like to support latam users in any posible situation they can. I will now make sure they say "vote for your favorite 2 maps regardless of the nationality of the map" i hope this will make you guys feel more comfortable. I'm also the coauthor of the map (2)Champion, and i spent many many hours working on the map (4)Lights out (even if i'm not a coauthor of that map, the author can tell you how much i contribuited to it when it comes to design, balance, pathing, gathering optimization, overlord spots, low groud units vision, nat walls, signage for players, game mechanics, etc) and this 2 maps are also in the top 4 most voted maps together with my map (4)Paranoid Android XXL... so... maybe a map with me as the single author is also supposed to be good map?? and maybe that's why my map has been selected for the BSL 2v2? I mean... isn't there any chance people is voting for my map because they liked it the most? | ||
