Confusing. Rush deserves a chance to win a title based on 'past achievements' like winning his ro8 and ro4 matches... Right?

First of all, he said Mini and Hero deserve MORE, not Rush doesn't deserve a title.

Secondly, I share the same sentiment with him as well. Here's how:

Clearly "past achievements" refers to past seasons. If winning R8 & R4 of the current season is the merit being discussed, then clearly both players appearing in the same game deserve the same chance. In that regard, Mini and Hero were both finalists or R4 players before, multiple times. While this is the first time ever that Rush enters the R4. Even among the Terrans, Light deserves a title more than him.

If Rush wins this ASL, it's more a case of him hitting form and getting a favorable bracket than being the champion caliber player.

If you have followed the BW scene (or if you simply check liquipedia) you'll know Mini and Hero haven't won any ASL or KSL gold before while both coming very close on several instances. You can't say the same about Rush.

Also Mini and Hero have provided us much more tournament entertainment (even during the Kespa era) over the years than Rush. Also for Rush's own story beating Mini for ASL gold is something that can easily be overlooked, despite him having excellent form as of late. I want the best of both worlds, not just a Mini vs Hero finals.

For me, Rush deserves it more than Mini. The effort, the practice from Rush is a beautiful story. He climbed the mountain through every ASL seasons to finally reach the top.

And he is playing like a machine. Flawless. I love Mini , but i cannot root against Rush. This finals will be awesome either way!

Rooting for mini, but does anyone honestly favor him? Anything can happen in a crazy game, but I trust Rush to convert positions where he has an advantage and do not trust the same for mini.

Both have been grinding recently, and both are pros for long time. Nice to see Rush reaching the finals as well. But go Mini!
