Few words A lot has changed for me since the last summary I wrote after BSL6. First of all I am a husband and it is appropriate to thank my wife Karolinka that she does not want to kill me for devoting so much time for this project, secondly I don't say goodbye to you, like last time, but you can say that this season was a greeting after six months of absence, as well as an invitation to participate in the next 8, 9 and 10 season. Nothing motivates us to work like a large number of people playing in a ladder, trying to qualify for the tournament on which we devote so much time to preparation. Thanks are also due to those who are helping in organizing BSL - organizing three parallel leagues requires a lot of work. I am talking about: / Hatchet, HaN, Awerti, Fujikura, AgGe, Kebes, Radley, Ziggy, as well as our wonderful casters: RAPiD and Nyoken. Praise you for your dedication gentlemans <3 When it comes to BSL7 productions, I'm happy. I was able to make most improvements that I had in mind. Mainly green screen for caster and interviews with players - I will improve it for next season - I'm already working on it. I really appreciate your comments and feedback, so if you have any constructive criticism, I invite you cordially.
WARNING. You won't have to wait for the next season as long as last time, it will start soon - we are waiting for the ladder season reset and after it we will announce the start of the BSL Season 8.
P.S. If you like the work we are doing and would like us to still improve BSL tournaments, you can consider supporting us by becoming BSL Patreon or by a direct donation
Thanks for organizing BSL! It was a great idea to "broaden" the player number for choboleague, so players with lower skill can participate. Also sounds great that in season 8 the ladder tournaments will be divided to the best players and the rest! I think it will draw more players. (maybe the best group shouldn't be just top20, but something like top60 rather, but you will figure it out later ) Great job guys!
Great tournament, as always I can't wait for another season to start!
big thanks to ZZZero, RapiD, Nyoken and the whole Crew.
GZ to the winner and I hope his break will not be too long, because that would be a damn shame to lose such a great player and to not see him in the upcoming seasons of BSL and other tournaments.

And we need one more map into map pool. Here is our candidates: (3)Inner Coven - winner of ASL Map Contest (4)Polypoid - ASL Map Contest runner-up (4)Karma_TF - ASL Map Contest third place (4)Sparkle - Famous island map from ASL5 Sparkle (5)Quintessence - just a solid 5-player map from Freakling Quintessence
Can you guys explain why you've voted for Quintessence? Seeing how it's a 5 player map it will make it quite hard scouting wise, which is the reason why I didn't vote it, for example.

My motivation was, that it has something new but isn't completely crazy.

If it were a 4 player map I would've voted it. It's interesting for sure
Sparkle is a fantastic map. It is original, it is exciting, and it rewards both practice and out of the box thinking! Why would anyone want some untested, slightly generic 5 player map over such grand design? That's just preposterous.
Sparkle is T > P though. Pretty good map pool overall so far, there are a couple maps with 1 bad/imbalanced matchup but with vetos that shouldnt be a problem

My reason for voting Quintessence over Sparkle or Inner Coven is I already find it hard to keep up with all the BSL casts already because they're often so so long and adding Sparkle or Inner Coven will only make them longer.
is the Quintessence version provided in Hatchet's post the most up to date version? It has a bunch of flaws that should be corrected before seeing competitive play.

Can you please list them here? We can ask Freakling to look into it.

I've only played about 8 games and obsed 2, all were PvZ. What I noticed were the different positions of the minerals + nexus in different mains. Especially that some mineral lines seem to be much easier to harass with mutas (TvZ comes to mind) than others. Another thing that I noticed was that I wasn't able to pylon jump over the power generators' minerals at all locations. I haven't tried all the positions, but the bottom left (7 o'clock main) one doesn't allow a pylon to be built between the two mineral patches. Top one (12 o'clock main) does allow it.
The feeling from my own games are that some positions can be way easier to attack by air. Like 7 o'clock can basically just fly into the mineral line of the main adjacent to its mineral only base.
Other positions have the possibility for siege tanks at the mineral only to have range to attack stuff in certain main bases (for example the 12 o'clock main can definitely be sieged. So building tech anywhere too far below your nexus can get it killed).
