Light is not a top 5 terran, but has arguably the best game understanding of any Terran player out there. By your standards would he not be allowed to have an opinion that should be taken seriously.
Scan's understanding of StarCraft is by far one of the best among active TL users. Even if his opinion differs from a top 3 Zerg, it shouldn't be stepped on because you feel like it. Instead try to understand and engage in a discussion with him.

I think superjoppe is free to disagree, but his answer doesn't provide much reasons as to why other than they said so which is understandable. Also, you guys forgot that Scan was ZerO's practice partner at one point (he got requested I believe, a while back, right Scan?). Adding in that ZerO is apparently whiny (lol), and I'll side with Scan on this one.

What a fantastic group! Really entertaining games :D Gotta love me some cheese games, when they get to be like Snow vs Last, at least

I watched that moment few more times. IMO, SK biggest fuck up was completely ignoring empty bunker. He had like 30 seconds or so to get rid of it while it was empty, but he chose to go outside with lots of drones and thus let marines in. This was the point of no return, even bigger than the late pool.

After watching this group, I find myself really hoping that Last wins this ASL. What a comeback that would be.

Little salty I am not seeing more snow this tournament.
That said groups of death are fun on the whole. Lot of tension. Great night overall. The pity though is no one in group A really excited me
Anyway we have Best to carry the protoss flag and we're kinda hurting for Terrans.

Snow actually held the bunker rush part pretty well, had he scouted the medic followup (on a map where scouting is pretty easy) he could have just cannoned up. And even if 12pool is not good against 8rax, Last straight-up outmicroed SK, stopping single 8rax with 12hatch is nothing new.

People seem to be angrier when a Terran wins by cheese. Must be because Flash wins so much.

Well, the most likely outcome is to have 3 zergs, 3 protoss and 2 terrans for the round of 8 which is as even as possible race distribution

Just watched the games and man they were awesome. Also I remember Calm was a great Zerg back in the day so compared to Tastosis I'm not really surprised he's doing well.

Soulkey just forgot to build the pool this time though, didn't he? Or he just went insanely greedy by going 13 Hatch (really?) and then 13 pool...

Yeah, Tastosis kind of bashed on Calm, even though he's won an MSL and placed highly in several other MSL/OSLs. Which is more than any of the other players in the group can say.
Super great games though, definitely a Snow fan now because of his constant and insane Reaver micro. Also happy for Calm for all the cheering he's getting in the studio!

Each time I see games like that SK vs Last game, I feel like there's some match fixing going on. Too strange and unexplainable.

Soulkey cleary intended hatch before pool after scouting the proxy rax, I'm sure thinking he had everything covered. Looking at the footage and his facial expressions, he sees something and winces, knowing he's doomed. What was it? I'm not 100% sure, but I think he expected the bunker to not be there. Either he expected to have killed the SCV before it finished, or he expected to have killed the bunker already.
Someone else pointed out there was a large window to kill it. Perhaps Soulkey forgot, or even thought he gave the orders but they failed due to misclick or something.

Past deeds doesn't necessarily equal current skill. Unless my memory fails, the last time Calm played in an offline tournament (can't remember if it was KSL or ASL), he failed horribly. He had some nifty ideas, but they fell completely apart. I dare say that having lower expecations for him than f.ex. Last and Soulkey, who're both very current winners of offline tournaments, is perfectly reasonable. Or even Snow, who's also shown very good recent results.
It's not that they don't believe in his potential or anything like that, but more acknoledged that based on recent results, it seemed very unlikely that he'd advance. But Tasteless did say; "Is Calm back?" when the mutas flew over Snow's base. Implying that they acknowledged his "legacy" and that it wasn't an unthinkable scenario that he'd have good results. Eventually.
I don't quite get the stuff you guys are saying. They were cheering for NaDa, but there was never any doubt that he was the underdog. Despite his past. That's not bashing. That's just what the situation is.

Well, yes he intended to go for hatch first but why would you build a drone afterwards, especially if you built a 13 hatch, instead of getting the pool down immediately? That was my point. I agree that he expected to kill the SCV and then the marines but accomplished neither.

I don't think they bashed Calm. Calm HAS been trash for some time now. It's like Jaedong a season or two ago--he'd been trash, then he started playing well, but it doesn't mean he's back; it's probably just a fluke. (Remember when everyone picked Jaedong over Last in the finals? I got shit for making Last a 55:45 favorite.) Even if Calm gets to finals, I still wouldn't completely buy this run.
He's still fun to watch, though.

I’m looking forward to what calm prepares for the next round. Hope he gets another terran opponent so Flash can give him another idea on how to steal victory.
