On the first page. Before the first week started the league had Demurity, Sigrun, and Metalx signed up. All borderline C+/B- players. Also there was Radley/Yeti/aiwekas, all players above B playing their offrace. All additions to the league are not in any way different from how the very first week started. herbmon is B- with 50% winrate over many games and rivals the skill of Demurity/Sigrun/Metalx. sero has joined with his offraces and definitely falls in the same category as radley and aiwekas as being between C- and B- with his offraces. ICCup's ranking system is very shitty and I think a lot of C-/C players in this league could hit B- given enough volume, so I'm not going to make clear cutoffs when players like herbmon want to join.

Also I've been contacted by someone on Mourning Wood saying they will probably not show, so unfortunately my attempt at covering up a leaking hole didn't work as planned. I'm not quite sure on the specifics but everyone on Mourning Wood is welcome to play on other teams even as soon as today. Please get in contact with me in the next hour, otherwise I can help you guys find a team for next week. So far we know Shieldbattery is actively looking for members and I'd like to set you some people up on that team ASAP.
Does this mean player cap is completely off? Since Holy Wheelbarrow are at 7 players now then. Also I find it a little annoying that we were denied a 6th player because some teams only had 4 players on them for that logic (aka why aren't these players joining AoV or other teams that need players more desperately)
Happybunnytime and art_of_turtle haven't played very much, which has a lot to do with their work schedules. So we're effectively at 5 players unless they start playing a bit more.

He has wrestled many bears, and from what I understand, has also consumed a large amount of vodka.

For him to be truly "offrace", he'd have to play Terran. Actually, that would be funny to watch.
There is literally no way for me to tell the skill level of someone's offrace. I have had a hard enough time judging skill levels of players entering (ie. Going through Splax's accounts and finding his max rank C high and then people claiming he is a B player). It is not my job to balance your teams. We must all use SCOUT'S HONOR.
Also just a reminder this is a for fun league. There is no prizes for 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place. You show up every week, get in a team melee to stumble over your teammates and make your workers dance in a disarray of confusion. Then you play some weird map pool that has old and imbalanced (BUT VERY FUN) maps like Azalea and Desperado. Finally you pinch the loaf by getting down and dirty with an old classic BGH. Unlimited minerals and gas at your fingertips. If you still want to be at each other's throats for a league like that, then I have good news for you. I employed a scientist with the remaining money from my tax returns to see if Rookie Team League will still be fun with flying[eMg] entering and here are the results:
So as you can see it is still very fun with flying[eMg] entering. Only when there appears to be 3 flying[eMg]'s does the fun start to drop off to kinda fun and when a 4th appears it drastically reduces to make everyone want to leave. So at this rate we will be okay. I just ask that the Twin Towers of Zenithal Postmodern Practicality does not clone flying[eMg] and make use of the unlimited roster to doom us all and destroy the league.

Unfortunately, I think it is quite unlikely I'm gonna rehost Rookie Team League after this one is finished.
But I'll actually just tell you something I had in mind that I thought was super cool. After Rookie Team League finishes, I was considering assigning players points based on how well their team did and their individual results since I have everything recorded on the wiki. Then I'd cap teams to a certain amount of points and distribute players that way. Ie. A team can not have more than 250 points. Each win a team gets in this league awards them 6 points. That means if a team goes 12-0 and gets awarded 1st place, each player on that team is already valued at 72 points, which is 29% of a team's available points. And then each individual win will award them 2 points to better gauge their worth to their team and their skill level. If they won at least one match a week, this would place them at 96 points, which would make them use up 38% of their teams points. If they are a key player in their team melee, BGH, and 1v1, this could make the figure rise up all the way to over 50%.
This way, players from the top teams are almost guaranteed to be distributed to different teams in season 2 because of how highly they are valued. I was actually super stoked about this idea because it seems super cool in theory but I feel like it won't work in practice. Part of the reason why I feel like we've had such good results with people showing up is because most people in this league get to play with their friends. Yesterday we had every team show up with no walkovers (to my knowledge). I think people have a lot more fun when they have people they can discord/skype with and practice with regularly. I just know personally if I was in that situation, I would be way less likely to show up to a league that I'm distributed to a random team with people I'm not familiar with.
