Who will play?
The next opponent will be selected through a raffle based on players who want to compete each week. Rank must be A- or higher. The two players are responsible for arranging and playing all 9 matches before each Tuesday’s cast and then supplying them to the event organizer, BisuDagger.
Format
Signups to participate will be available the Saturday (4 days) before each cast. This will ensure the player selected from the list will be able to play the same week they are chosen to participate. The next challenger will be announced at the end of each cast.
B09 will be played.
After each game, loser picks the map for the next game.
The maps available for picking are below. *No map can be played twice in a series.
Fight Club will go on past 10 weeks as long as there are enough continued donations to pay the players. Donations accepted here: Fight Club Donations. Please write the word "Fight Club" in the details column. Regardless of any note, all money received to this account will be going towards this event.

It gives players less time to play their games and less time for me to prepare for the following week if i extend the signup date.

Fear not, if you put your name on the sheet and hit save then it has been locked in version history. Despite someone deleting all the names, I was able to restore the list and maintain signup order too. No one will be missed I promise. But if this become a constant problem we will have to restrict this. I do appreciate the heads up though. It allows me to maintain it better for everyone. Thank you!!! ^

This is the best time to insure I can cocast with FlashFTW. The alternative is to cast at korean level times like 17 or 19:00 KST. That's the only reasonable time change that would work for us.

I was trying to leave space for the ASL casts since those will start during the middle of Fight Club. Saturdays may work since ASL is not on Saturdays. That would have to be casted at 7:00AM EST (13:00 CET) because I generally do stuff with my mornings by about 10 EST;

Chances are really high that if Koget is still the champion of Fight Club when trutaCz or eonzerg are drawn then he will have a bounty on his head and the winnings will be high.

A couple of people saying zergs played badly but you have it wrong. First of all, Koget is really good. Secondly, it was a floated factory into the main on Benzene; vults in your main can also hit your nat min line from the cliff, and the mains are huge. I can understand the gg, when you are skirting the edges of safety as you do, its a build that has beaten the best zergs out there. And like I said, Koget played some great starcraft overall. Also just manner up lol.

i guess i have to thank JungleTerrain for complaining too then. your reaction makes me wonder if you even play the game at all. i use 5-0 for my first 6 bases, but there are a fuckton of players who hotkey differently or use f keys. if you manage to move your mouse half a hex while the mouse is pressed in the big 4x3 hex that is your building, because you know, people play with 200+ apm, you select that thingy and have to select again. what does this thing even do good?.....

So you actually cannot use all your FS-builds 95% of the time while ignoring remaining map feature like in all FS clones.

It's just that it never came up for me as a practical problem during my testing of the map. I guess it is because of all the reasons you already listed:
I primarily play Zerg and hotkey my hatches (5...0, just like you), so I actually rarely mouse-select that hatch.
Again, when playing Zerg, it does not interfere with directly drag-selecting the larvae
I do click-select buildings (and I guess my APM hardly ever reaches 200 either...)

This should be obvious: I opted for giving players clear indicators as to where to put down their town halls for all expansions on this map to make it more accessible for first-time players and help all you 200+ apm fraction-of-a-second-click players getting easy judgement for building placement. All you need to do is to place your town hall right in the middle of it. Unfortunately there is not much one can do in terms of terrain for low platform, there is just that one terrain type and some doodads/pseudo doodads one can use. So I opted for this instead. I now changed it to something I came up with using those doodad tecxtures; does not look nearly as good, though.

Just to make this clear again: I am not even complaining about your complaining. Quite to the contrary, this is exactly the kind of feedback I am looking for. A purely aesthetic element causes some real issues for players in-game – it gets removed, simple as that, no further discussion to even be had.

I can't rig the system and at least with the way Koget is playing, we are avoiding ZvZs. Plus there will be massive hype down the line knowing eonzerg, dewalt, and co. are remaining. The highest ranked players still await their chance to play in the arena.

Lol sorry to hear that... maybe you are giving the right advice to the wrong people. And you mean advice to mapmakers or just people in teamliquid posts in general? I feel like any player experience is valuable, there is always a hidden, sometimes small, truth underneath what someone is saying.

The Floor Hatches were removed yesterday. Just look some posts up for the download link for the new version. I also fixed the observer town hall spawn issue – 'twas just a matter of obs player 8 being set to user selectable instead of Protoss by accident.

sadly the afreeca global is not so popular,u can see guys with vlc going for the korean one even if stork is streaming in afreeca global.
Just want to reiterate how hyped I am for this series again. Esp after Bonyth released his rep pack in the strategy forum, I seriously went through every Bonyth vs Koget replay. They were pretty solid games. I'm a big fan of Bonyth's PvT so I'm hoping for great games. Also I advise anyone who hasn't downloaded Bonyth's rep pack to do so. There are some really good games and interesting builds.

It's because you cast the tour that is at the same time casted by "professional casters" on twitch.. so noone bothers. Here you have your own event that only you cast. I tell you, you would easily get 100+ viewers if casting at 20-22 CET
Unless there are technical issues from my temporary computer for casting, Elegant will be joining me to cast today! We will do our best to sort out audio issues too.

Couldn't really do anything about this week. My laptop broke. This had nothing to do with AfreecaTV. The following weeks will be back to normal. I'll be dual streaming when my laptop comes back so you can view on either stream. Crazy how much a good computer makes a difference. I'm sorry this wasn't better

hydra/defiler/ling is better than hydra/queen because plague is OpieOP
I've been on vacation so I apologize for the lack of updates. 1. Week 11 signups I'm sorry for the late sign up. 2. I am traveling for work next week so I will be delaying Week 11 cast by one week. That being said, players will have an additional week to complete their games. 3. The rest of fight club we be on AfreecaTV. I have been dual broadcasting to AfreecaTV and Twitch for 4 weeks now, this will no longer be the case. More updates to this thread coming soon.

Because liquid'drone is the best and watches fight club, we concluded it'd be good for everyone to know that the reigning champs always sends me the replays and is no way an indicator to the audience who is the winner based on how replays end. :D

Full disclosure: I was NOT around for the DRTL you speak of. So I cannot confirm or deny anything that you are saying. All I can do is speak on MY personal experience only. Make of that what you will. Having said that, here's what I can tell you about my experience with Jealous:
I never entered any tournaments or tours or anything. I didn't even have many people to play BW with. I just used to log on and play by myself for fun, occasionally. One day, very recently actually, I decided to take the plunge and I am glad I did. I have played with and against so many good players and have learned A LOT. I have also had a lot of fun and met many cool people within the community, especially Jealous.
From the very beginning this guy has showed me nothing but love. He has taken hours out of his busy time to try and teach me tricks, builds, etc. He is always willing to help me in any way possible, whether it be to criticize my replays or offer suggestions, etc. I am grateful and appreciative of this. In addition, he is a genuinely nice guy who I find to be witty and funny. I get his sense of humor although I can also see how some people won't.
Besides that, he has also given much to the BW community. This guy spends countless hours organizing events and tours. I've seen thousands of tours and tourneys come and go. Maybe 1 or 2 of them I have seen completed all the way through. In this past DRIT and CPL seeding, he took over for LMaster and completed the tour. That includes organizing, dealing with admin shit, communication between coaches and players, and casting all the damn games, too. This is, as I mentioned above, in addition to all the time he puts into assisting literally anyone who asks him for help. Now he is moving the CPL league along and that is probably the best ran and most organized tour I've ever seen. He has even got people like eonzerg to come on board and commentate. So, to me yes he is awesome as I said. You are entitled to your opinion and I respect that. But, based on everything above, even if you don't agree with him or like him, I think he does deserve some of your respect.
idk.. the only thing i remember about jealous now is him shittalking a lot while smurfing in DRTL and having 10 accounts replying to himself
Full disclosure: I was NOT around for the DRTL you speak of. So I cannot confirm or deny anything that you are saying. All I can do is speak on MY personal experience only. Make of that what you will. Having said that, here's what I can tell you about my experience with Jealous:
I never entered any tournaments or tours or anything. I didn't even have many people to play BW with. I just used to log on and play by myself for fun, occasionally. One day, very recently actually, I decided to take the plunge and I am glad I did. I have played with and against so many good players and have learned A LOT. I have also had a lot of fun and met many cool people within the community, especially Jealous.
From the very beginning this guy has showed me nothing but love. He has taken hours out of his busy time to try and teach me tricks, builds, etc. He is always willing to help me in any way possible, whether it be to criticize my replays or offer suggestions, etc. I am grateful and appreciative of this. In addition, he is a genuinely nice guy who I find to be witty and funny. I get his sense of humor although I can also see how some people won't.
Besides that, he has also given much to the BW community. This guy spends countless hours organizing events and tours. I've seen thousands of tours and tourneys come and go. Maybe 1 or 2 of them I have seen completed all the way through. In this past DRIT and CPL seeding, he took over for LMaster and completed the tour. That includes organizing, dealing with admin shit, communication between coaches and players, and casting all the damn games, too. This is, as I mentioned above, in addition to all the time he puts into assisting literally anyone who asks him for help. Now he is moving the CPL league along and that is probably the best ran and most organized tour I've ever seen. He has even got people like eonzerg to come on board and commentate. uh well he cheated my DRTL team out of a season win by stacking his d team with B players so no i really don't think he does. also cheated in CRTL with the same B level players. also he's been banned multiple times from TL before so
doing good things now doesn't cancel out the bad things he did before

Rofl rauk I bet that was eating you up inside for years, I'm glad you finally found an opening to get it off your chest. You've misrepresented what happened 5 years ago, ignored my public apology and the work I've done since then to repent and contribute to the community, and derailed this thread. I'm glad you were able to have your say though, I hope you feel better. If not, you can take it to PM.
Thanks trutacz for making me realize I've been slacking off really hard... I hope the games were at least somewhat entertaining. I didn't play very well but even if I had it would still have been an easy victory for trutacz. I will play more/work harder again.

what did i misrepresent what happened 4 years ago? your whole DRTL team was smurfs except for one person and you cheated the B- limit by putting minister into your CRTL team and you obviously don't think you did anything wrong at all or you wouldn't be taking this kind of attitude

Me too! Season 1 will end with just one more competitor selected. But a second season will resume later this year and hopefully see some of those faces. xD
Week 15, the final matchup is 7-19. Terror vs Eonzerg. I'm sad this is ending, but FC shall return for a Season 2 once I can get a consistent schedule again. SC:R will be out so I'm excited to see how rises to the top.
