That created a significant lead that gave BeSt a good chance to win. However he failed to do so. His main fail, (other than micro fails which I'm not looking to discuss here), was that he suffered severe economical damage from lurkers on his natural high ground. You seem happy more than anything  Btw, you are 100% right, BW is the only esport I have been able to consistently watch/play for years. Quake (and a bit of cs1.6) came close but BW is just something else. BW will always be back and forth in nature because of the pathfinding and the limited unit selection that creates skirmishes all around the map rather than one big fight, and it's just SO fuckin great. | ||

Its all the unit interactions as a whole as well as the macro mechanics which allow for the constant back and forth. You are right, it is more than this but it is part of it. And yep, the unit design is incredible, that's why we have those small skirmishes, it's kind of hard to explain but anyone who knows bw know what we are talking about. And we can add the defender's advantage to all of this. | ||
