Nada (T, Pantech) < Much (P, CJ) on Hitch Hiker Proxy 6? Gateway in middle of map from much, nada took all scv's off to kill it but lost too many scv/time. Much way ahead thereafter and although nada had amazing defence the economy difference was too 'much'.. after countering reaver harass excellently, much just walked up ramp with goons before siege came.
FireBatHero (T, Samsung) vs UpMagic (T, E-Stro) on Neo Arkanoid Up goes 2 rax floats to middle MnM rush while trying to guess where FBH is, FBH 14cc's. Holds off rush. From there after he is simply outclassed by Up in your usual dropship game.
Midas (T, SKT) > Light (T, MBCgame) on Reverse Temple Nice game, both attack with 4 rine/1 vult but miss each other in middle and both rack up major scv kills. Light seemed to come out on top. Midas just plays really solid and seems to keep ground advantage all game with his macro which eventually whittles light down into GG.
Casy (T, OGN) > Child (Z, STX Soul) on Longinus 2 Rape. 2 Rax opening, run past one sunk and did major drone damage. Child then gets 20 lings that do no damage and its 10 drone 2 hatch lurker/ling vs 2 base terran... I'll let you do the math.
GoRush (Z, SKT) > Iris (T, CJ) on Longinus 2 Not your typical TvZ on Longinus. Iris goe fast tank push and GoRush neatly beats it off in the nick of time with muta/ling. Meanwhile Iris still on one base finally takes nat and then it's a battle of who can lose.. GoRush literally could end it anytime but he just sits there for a millenium letting iris irradiate the shit out of him. Finally gets some balls and attack moves to victory after he has the whole map.
Hwasin (T, STX Soul) > Yooi (T, STX Soul) on Hitch Hiker Quick, one-sided game. Hwasin got the upper hand quickly on the dropship battle by killing Yooi nat gas while yooi was killing neutral buildings. Hwasin just kept up the dropship play and ended it quickly with a drop in main.
4/6 on the predictions, could've been alot worse after being 0/2 Dropped from 19 to 23.
My Predictions:
- Nada > Much on Hitchhiker. I just don't see T's losing TvP on this map even though much is the anti-nada.
-FireBatHero > UpMagic on Neo Arkanoid Really tough one IMO, going with the slightly more expierenced FBH. Anxious to see how these two are at TvT to be honest.
-Midas > Light on Reverse Temple Light is a beast but his TvT is weak, I expect Midas to take this.
-Casy > Child on Longinus 2 Casy strong TvZ on imba T>Z map, should be an easy bet.
-GoRush > Iris on Longinus 2 Super hard bet IMO, Iris is just so unimpressive TvZ, while GoRush is so unpredictable. Factor in the map and it's a toss-up.. I went with GoRush.
-Hwasin > Yooi on Hitch Hiker Two horrible TvT'ers? I'll go with the one that's at least winning other match-ups =/

ok, nada is not out yet, he needs to at least stay in 3rd place for the wild car. here is the rule:
These 6 seeds are important for the first stage of the OSL. Those 6 seeds each pick a respective player who picks in turn picks another respective player, and in turn picks another respective player. That gets us 6 groups of 4. Cool. This stage is called the Group of 24 Stage (24 강). These 6 groups play a round robin. (A round robin group means everybody plays everybody once.) After necessary tiebreakers, each group has a 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, and 4th place. The players who got 1st place and 2nd place in their group get to skip stage 2 which only involves the 3rd places from each group. The 4th place of each group ends his/her OSL run and gets sent to ODT.
The second stage involves all the 3rd places from each group. This stage is called the Wildcard Round. The third stage has 16 spots but only 12 advanced from the Group Stage. Up is seriously great to watch. He plays with a preset build in mind and almost always prevails. I rarely ever root for a terran player but damnit, Up is awesome.
He gave me 3 liquibet points earlier in the season, but that was because he was up against mediocre opponents, and I've never seen FBH play a TvT so this was pretty much a 50/50.
Do you forget the horrible rape and humiliation up suffered on blitz against a zerg just a week or two? He was killed by lings due to crappy scv and marine early game micro.

I don't know if you're including me in that but if you are..I've commented on a previous game he played and thought he really wasn't very good mid to late game where he made literally like 3-4 expos all at once. Also I didn't mean to compare him literally to boxer at all just the way he played that psrticular game reminded me of him with all the great harassment

This is exactly what i saw on his face before the match vs FBH. Gaming on the stage took more than just pure skills, psychological capabilities is critical as well and Up.magic seems to be that way to me.

Yes, the wraith of Light ushers Midas' tanks into the sieged tanks of Light and he manages to blow up one (or two?). Midas' wraith also attacks some sieged tanks of Light, but is saved by some scv. 3 wraiths for Light patrolling the map and Midas has goliaths now, 2.
Light made a big drop on Midas cliff with 5 dropship but it doesn't look like he can secure it.
Light breaks out of Midas contain at his 2nd nat. But he's behind. Midas has had the 3rd gas base for a long time and Light's was destroyed some time ago.
Light floats a cc to 9 main and his 2nd nat. And to bottom island! But Midas drops a few goliath for that one.
Midas been up +1 base a while. Light been dropshipping trying to hurt his economy. Midas defending nicely and now Light expands to 9 main and 5 island. Midas sees the 5 island and drops it with some golis.
Light's defense is 4 tanks. Midas's army is like "this is many tanks, yes?" style.
Light flew a CC from top island to 12 main where he's had an army for some time after killing Midas's base there. He's also flown another CC to bottom island. Light is expanding like a zerg O_O
Midas doesn't seem to want to expand just make more units. He has added 9 nat though.
Can someone explain why Midas hasn't shut down the 9expo? If if did, the game would have been over quite a while ago. He has defended it and mined it out with only 2 siegetanks against an entire army. Ridiculous.

I think he didn't go for 9 knowing how many dropships light had, and the fact he shut down gas. massing units to that position probably wasn't important

i dont think much was a stupid pick, he's only practicing one matchup + nada's confidence took a hit last week, the map is new and could go either way, anytime simple played it wrong last week.

That might be true with a lot of people but I don't see Nada as someone who is mentally weak and couldn't motivate himself, but maybe I'm wrong. I personally don't carry over each game like it's the sole determination of someone's skill so him losing a few games lately doesn't mean much to me.

When someone fucks w/ Savior early on, sure you can kill off half of savior's drones and his spire, but my god he'll rebuild everything and be right back in the game with sick macro and half the map.

Gorush sees the tanks and he has a spire building.
He quickly adds up to 5 sunk and counters with speedling. Iris has some firebat/marines in his base though so they don't do much damage. Now we see how good GoRush's muta micro is.
Gorush took like 20 lurkers and flanked Iris army in the middle taking most of it out. Then Iris took the remaining MM and tried to attack 12 but GoRush killed them and lost only a few drones.
If GoRush gets his defilers to Iris nat quickly he can end this.
fast tank push is a TERRIBLE idea on this map, not necessarily because its a bad build, but because it doesn't exploit anything that makes the map good for terran, it simply tries to counter a fast expansion
iris repositioning his troops so that he can get surrounded more easily... it WORKS iris gets surrounded REALLY badly and is losing troops extremely fast
I don't think he played that bad though. His defiler/lings/lurkers micro was very very good most of the time, it's just that he made lots of little mistakes here and there and didn't sunken up 12 soon enough to be safe.
To me what was so frustrating about the game was that GoRush was at times brilliant, making perfect flanks that just owned Iris's army in every way and other times losing lots of lurks and dozens of lings for no reason at all.
He was never in big danger of losing the game but the way he kept taking his huge advantage and throwing it away returning the game to balance was just O_o
He didn't need those lurker any more, ultralisks were in mass production

Hwasin with a big 3 dropship drop right over Yooi's nat cliff, this time closer to the minerals. He has stopped Yooi from mining there and added another expo at 12. Yooi lost a lot of units clearing it too.

He pulled almost every SCV! That's hundreds and hundreds of minerals lost for a single gateway that was easily replaced at home.
I guess when you're as good as Nada at the mechanics of the game the OSL curse turns your decision making skills to shit.

A turret wouldn't have done anything for him. What he needed was siege and a properly placed army. Much had perfect timing and a killer instinct. Man that kid is good.
