NaDa(T) < iloveoov(T) - Oov has always done well against Nada, plus the OSL curse (and the potentially much bigger golden mouse curse :p) is going to kick in. Reverse Temple will probably suit Nada better though.
YellOw[Arnc](Z) < UpMagiC(T) Longinus has horrible TvZ stats, and Yarnc hasn't been performing well lately.
Midas(T) vs sAviOr(Z) - I'm so looking forward to this match. Unlike what many people seem to think, Midas has a good chance to win this. If not for his game 4 jinx, he would've beaten Savior in their bo5, the map is Hitchhiker, and Savior has an incredible load of pressure on him. That being said, nobody's the favourite against Savior.
JulyZerg(Z) > Child(Z) - Child is going to be brutally slapped around in his group. Same as last time he qualified for OSL actually.
GoRush(Z) vs GGPlay(Z) - Impossible to predict. They're both top-notch ZvZ players. Looking forward to this one.
Sea.JY(Z) < Yooi(T) - Another game that's extremely hard to predict. Jy can play absolutely amazing ZvT, he's been a known Terran killer for a while. Yooi on the other hand played a brilliant ODT, but he's also very inconsistant.
And very chobo at times Yooi is yes... and JY is CJ... I think... I'll root for CJ. I think Savior will beat Midas on Hitchhiker. Yarc won't lose to Upmagic. His TvZ hasn't been good imo. He lost to Shinhwa in style too. GR vs GGP, i don't care, whoever wins, GL!
Yeah, I like Yarc -_-;; You just like Up too much. I still think if Shinhwa can beat you on Blitz that easily, Yarc will beat you even if it's Longinus. That boy has wicked lurker/muta/swarm. What more do you need to kill Up?
And only reason I think Midas won't win is because I think the middle will be disastrous with Swarms everywhere, then Savior breaking side buildings, etc etc. If Midas wins, It'll be early on I think.

holy shit. i just saw Nada and the commentators are talking about his stats and Iloveoov stats as well. not sure about nada, iloveoov is like: 60%. the stage looks great as well
1 waith with cloak out for oov, now harrassing nada scv, nada has 2 gols out but could not do anything much, he moved 2 gols toward oov base but oov walled in and 1 tank there to defense
Nada lost vs iloveovv. He tryed to cheese with a proxy rax and then fac and then tryed to get a bunker outside oov base which failed. oov went waiths which took out nadas scv's.
Pretty funny to see terran expand like Zerg. Seemed sort of chobo though, if zerg actually managed to break through he didnt have much waiting after since he expoed so much. wouldn't if of been better to add more buildings then like..3 more expos?

From what i get from the reports game should be over... If savior does have full map and has terran contained on 2 bases without feeling any pressure from mnm/vessels/drops I don't see how midas can win...

I wasn't watching most of the game but when I started watching the situation was this: Midas 2 expos - a million raxes.
Savior: 3 expos, midas constantly killing his 4th.
Midas had like 6-7 vessels and 12+++++++++ tanks.
So yeah, savior never got into 4 gas mode I think.
its a fuking gg. Midas is just too nervous thats why he kept the game for so long. he had loads of chance to finish off but he just chose to phay safe. congratu;ation to him anyways. great great game

Amazing... lol Looked good for Savior since the beginning, he had a lot of expos and seemed to have enough to overrun Midas but Midas held on for a long time... Lost his entire main but kept building more and holding on to I think it was 1 expo...
PS. not saying that savior is also godlike. That was one of the best gamestartings for zvt i've ever seen and one of the best mid-game management in a difficult situation from midas.
Savior wasted far too many units attacking with tiny armies into big ones, he couldn't put a big force together the whole game. Despite that he still did a great job of harass and rear attacks, although he really could have used a couple of mutas to take advantage of plague at some points.
i was watching this with my friend and all we could keep on thinking was how well midas was handling savior. savior would pull off a good attack, and midas would have a good defense. in the end, he was reading savior very well and just responding to everything beautifully. it's clear he prepped really hard for this game. props to him =)

I think the several narrow passages on that map are good for Z from the perspective of harass, but bad from the perspective of being able to flank and destroy the main T army. You could see in this game that Savior was constantly getting behind Midas's lines and causing havoc, but could never successfully go toe-to-toe with the bulk of his troops.

that is what it was but midas somehow held out and started killing saviors bases and then it came down to the wire where both players had almost nothing
Really cool map, a lot of options open up mid game since you have chances to get attacked from a lot of places and a lot of chances to do damage to your opponent from different angles. I think that Savior could of built up a bigger army and tried to push top mid and in the canyon at the same time... But Midas defending really well too

reports weren´t so bad. it´s just that the game turned every second. noone expected midas to come back, but than he microed like hell and turned the game. Midas´ micro is really strong. don´t forgett this!
savior had a nice play though, with just ling and defiler he displayed such a guerilla warfare ... lost anyways.... besides, why didn't midas harrass during mid game, he just let savior expand and defended his ass off...

nah, savior didnt have defilers yet, first major attack by savior was his lurks/mutas/lings attacking Midas base, which i thought was a gg right there since i think 2 groups of MM was outside his expansion, but Midas hold Savior off, then Savior kept attacking with groups of lings/lurks which initially did quite a lot of dmg, but then as Midas started gaining more and more units, he finally had the army needed to break out and start to slowly take down Savior's bases, it was like Savior set rally point right outside Midas... after the few initial attempts with his lurks+lings he shouldve amassed an army due to Savior having more expos than Midas
but i thought that was one of the best TvZs ive seen and great management by Midas

yooi wasn't playing like his normal self. he didn't pull back his MM right when lurkers burrowed, no rine spreads, etc. unfortunate... i think he was really nervous.
I think if you look at some of the live reports about Savior owning Midas early on... He was... But if the VOD goes up on tracker, a big problem was like Midas was shown 1% of the time. The camera always followed Savior's army around and so it was hard to get a good sense of how much stuff Midas was working with. Really amazing game though. And I did horrible, 3/6 -_-

Your argument reads like this:
SaviOr's build is invincible unless a) he makes a mistake or b) the map sucks for him.
No build should be that strong, and I don't think SaviOr's build is. Midas played well to counter. It is a defeatable build if SaviOr's opponent knows what he's doing.

guys its a general rule of thumb. nada has been known to beat oov occasionally but their historical record is skewed waaay in favor of oov. and xellos has been nada's punching bag since...forever.

shut up, the reporters tell it how it looks, and it definitely looked like savior was dominating midas. don't bash the live reporters.
Savior overspent, making him low on drones, but high on units. He looked great until the observer went back to his bases, and there were almost no drones mining.

This was the best ZvT I've ever seen. Hopefully oov, july, savior, anytime, can go pretty deep into this OSL. Would be fun.
wow, I just watched Midas vs Savior. The game was played godlike by both players. Savior had like whole map most of the game, but Midas did very and I mean very good job defending his base, and denying Savior to mine from expos. Very very good game. I just had a feeling Savior did have upper hand in the game, but great defense and superbly macro won the game for Midas.
There was almost no micro mistakes from Savior, and he managed to cast very nice swarm/plague. Savior wasn`t very aggressive early in the game, that might have been mistake imo. The muta harass from Savior didn`t do anything crucial. The only thing Savior did wrong (imo). Some of Savior`s attacks looked sick -.-

if you are talking about relative ot their peers and particular stages of the game, then maybe, but certainly savior can destroy the tournaments that yellow failed to win. The game changes, and the meaningful ways of comparing players are either limited or just sentimentality.

The games were pretty forgetable overall, but I'm not a big ZvZ fan. The savior/midas game was long and tight, but it didn't really have much other than the high stakes and player hype going for it. To be honest, I got bored watching.
But the upmagic/junior game was siiiiiiick! That was some pimp harassment. Vult and wraith simultaneously!!! It was over almost immediately.
I'm liking this upmagic kid. He played great vs kingdom in MSL survivor, and now this pimp build against a ZvT master like Jr. He might actually end up being an entertaining terran.

Since I didn't need the complete VODs for screen shots (like when I'm writing a report for a set of games) I just watched the partials with VLC media player.
If you aren't going to be anal about seeing every 2 seconds of a game, watching a VOD that's only 65% done really isn't that bad.

Hey upmagic was using a pretty standard tech opening and got pretty lucky that his float payed off actually I enjoyed his rotating style and how you could clearly see him preparing his next move, but he was so far ahead he could have really just gone BC's if he wanted to
I dont see how you could be entertained by those simple tricks and the long hopeless period after for yellow and not by the absolutely insane Savior/Midas game
