FS Cross positions. HiyA at bottom left, Pure at Top right. Game hits 12 supply without a hitch.

2nd factory added after machine shop, then machine shop! Big cross-position push about to happen. It's a fake FD? Dragoon blocks the way and HiyA moves out only after gaining 3 tanks and 5 marines. Four goons between him and victory.

HiyA's expansion blocked by a pylon. Let's see if that comes to haunt him. The nexus is going down!~ Observers already nominal. Range is up! Pure will probably hold this, but there's three tanks ! Pure has to kill them before siege! There's a shuttle now. The mines are doing serious damage! One crawls all the way around to get a zealot on the siege cliff! And now the tanks finally move up the entrance. The Reaver pops out and is immediately killed by mines! Pure couldn't hold fast and loses in quick order to HiyA!

HiyA scouts first, at 12. 1 Gate Tech from Pure, who builds his second pylon besides his nat mineral line.

Another two factory pressure coming from HiyA! Pure still hasn't scouted, for god's sake, and sends his first goon across the map!

2nd machine shop building now as Pure expands and, true to his last name, parks his goon. An SCV makes sure everything is in place and gleefully scouts the expansion! Barracks floatover.

Templar tech in a corner of Pure's base. The 3 tank push is on its way!

haha HiyA instantly ggs out when he sees dt drop instead of a reaver, even though he probably could've defended it

DTs begin to deal damage but HiyA quits as soon as he realizes what was being dropped! His engineering bay is up, but it came far too late! Pure salvages the game, tying it up 1-1, and Love loses herself in the moment.

He's probably confident in beating him and didn't want to deal with that bullcarp.

HiyA selects Terran playground Bifrost III. He didn't think he'd need to kill his food, but looks like that's the case! He spawns at 10:00 against Pure at 4:00.

Pure's play thus far has been cerebral and standard.. He hasn't had an opportunity to display his mechanics, but that was a resourceful response from him last game. Standard builds once again from both players. Pylon built in a far corner of Pure's main. 1st Factory going up on time. HiyA floats over to wall off his main. Factory complete. Immediate starport. We're gonna see some dropship play.

Citadel of Adun begins warping s at that far pylon as the robotics facility is 33% done. First dropship is built, and fills up. Pure's expansion nominal. Pure glitches in through the Warp Gate behind HiyA's base, and sees what to expect! He's likely to shut this push down because everything was in place! But he used his secret DTs to help! They're now in the shuttle. Is HiyA prepared? No! The Engineering bay is only going up now!

Ah, looks like he had scans, at least. HiyA didn't make the same mistake again.

Two Base Arbiter! Dropship play is going to make it hard to take that third he needs. HiyA has the economic advantage.

Arb Tribunal complete! Lull in the action, then Pure pushes out to claim his third. HiyA drops vultures at the natural, but an observer on call, a cannon and shuttle'd goons prevent any significant damage.

Pure has taken map control - there isn't a single mine on the field.

Observers and goons everywhere, and a pylon at Pure's prospective 4th.HiyA sends an SCV to sit at his prospective third. Pure holds one side of the bridges. Big Terran push with a science bessel and goliaths!

Push stifled at the bridge, but Pure's forces ultimately back off from the other side. Vultures raid the 6:00, where they only find a pylon. HiyA's third is mostly built. RECALL IN HiyA's natural! He pushes out, not caring much!

HiyA's forces are between Pure's main and third. HiyA's natural is completely dead, with two goons in it. A Dragoon and Zealot are dropped and deal significant damage to the third! HiyA is losing it! Big recall on his production facilities, with only science vessels to defend! No buildings are ultimately killed, though. HiyA on one base! His third is floating over his main to his nat!!!

HiyA still on one base as Pure cleans him out of his territory. Medium reinforcements sit outside his main/3rd choke, sieged up. Pure is mined out at his main and HiyA is getting there.

HiyA can still come back from this, if... Recall! Recall on the factories again, and HiyA has nothing on call to dismiss it! He pushes forward instead!

The push is blunted and HiyA ggs, his main in shambles. He needs to turn things around on Harmony and Katrina. Pure is eating HiyA for dinner!

Pure scouts the wrong way, but his dragoon scouts the right way, runs into a bunker. The longer this game goes, the more HiyA will grow in strength. Two goons waiting for range.

Pure's own expansion is halfway done. Second factory and machine shop about done for HiyA. Engineering bay starting now. THE BUNKER DIES! WTF HiyA

SCVs are pulled to deal with it. Pure knows this is his opportunity and chages in to do severe damage. Siege tech finally completes, to the relief of countless SCVs. Pure retreats, the barracks lands, and the nightmare is over as the tank repositions itself. Hidden Academy tucked away at his expansion. Shuttle with Reaver on its way and observatory complete. Both Machine Shops spinning

Extremely smart turret placement brings the edging shuttle to a fractional 18 HP. Looks like HiyA got away with it.

Vultures chase the probes away from Pure's fresh mineral-only 3rd and lay mines. They back off when reinforcements come, and charge back to give their lives killing a few additional proves. Lull in the action. The same severely damaged Shuttle containing two zealots and a reaver fills up and joins the crowd. HiyA begins his Starport in his main, and then his third command center at 7:30, while simultaneously pushing out with all his forces. Protoss forces were gathered at his mineral-only, and they move in to tear the now-undefended terran wall down! They are kept at bay by a few vultures and a tank only! HiyA is sitting indecisively in the center of the field The Shuttle is shot down over the tank lines, and the reaver gets a scarab off!

Big fight ensues as Protsos attacks from two directions! Terran reinforcements even the score,both forces are almost completely decimated, and Terran has taken map control with his vultures!

Pure has a base at 10:30. Aaaaaaaaand it just got discovered. Large dragoon force storms through the center of the field to chase out the tanks. Pure zealot dragoon is decimating HiyA's mech force! Pure has the upper-hand, but he's behind a base, goddamn it!

Pure is now aware of the terran base. Four dragoons move in to deal damage and are blown apart by vultures. It's 3 bases to 3, and HiyA can't seem to hold any ground this game.

HiyA has taken a fourth base at 9:00, and Pure has retaken his mineral-only at center right. Dropships and DTs available for HiyA, who seds a large strike force to the 10:30 proxy base. But Pure drops zealots at HiyA's 7:30 while dispatching the attack on 10:30. Arbiters are out! Pure has taken the 12:00 base, and soon it will be 4 gas Protoss. Gigantic mine goes off killing four goons at center. This is a very dynamic game so far - Pure's pure goon is forced out of the center of the field, and he loses his mineral-only to consistent shelling. Both players on four gas. HiyA's economic advantage has become a permanent fixture of this game, but Pure so far from dead. He attempts to engage at both bsides with Dragoons and DTs at his 12:00, where the tanks shell up. He might lose the 12:00, and now the 10:30 is under attack! Pure's getting overrun by tanks and vultures! Two heroic DTs save the 10:30.

HiyA's force really is mostly vultures right now. HiyA's econnomy being kept in check by harassment, but Pure's waiting for god to come and save the 10:30, which is literally just the probes now. Big clash in the center plateau! EMP on the arbiter and most of the army! That's game. Pure concedes game 4, and we're going to Harmony for game 5!

Statistically Terran has a colossal advantage on this map. Silliness in chat as the game begins on God's Sword in the Harmony, with near positions HiyA in top right, Pure in bottom right, and Love giggling in her chair at the attitude.

Typical 1 rax ramp-superior wall-in it seems. HiyA is first to scout, in the wrong direction Aaaaaaaand HiyA does a Fast Expand. Pure scouts in the right direction.

The chat silliness continues. I think korean speakers will have extra entertainment from this game. The bunker is already up and repels Pure's probe. The Dragoon with range is in place and harassing. Siege any time now HiyA.

Bunker getting severely harassed by 4 goons. The fun ends when a tank sieges up on HiyA's main plateau. Pure blowing up his Temple. Observers are out for Pure, he's going for a control build to counter vultures. HiyA blows up his Temple as well. Might be a while with those four bunker marines. Two vultures swoose right in and deal severe damage to Pure's natural! More come in the other side and drop mines in his main, but don't do any significant damage thanks to observers on call. Pure's Temple down, HiyA's half down. The CC is just sitting there waiting to land.

Lone Vulture having a wonderful time scouting the far base and dying to roaming goons. HiyA's large vulture force sweeps around and drops mines. HiyA is taking a sneaky fourth at 12:00.

EMP on arbiter just as it drops a stasis on tanks. Pure moves in with mass goon zealot after dropping another Stasis with the second arbiter. First force annihilated. Another force moves south to attack Pure's new 7:00 base. Second force annihilated. Pure has map control and is just sloshing about fluidly in the lower half of the map, and HiyA is raining down vultures upon him. A large balancd mech force assaults Pure's nat and destroys it. Under stasising arbiters, half the force is brought down, and the other half left in wait. A large Vulture force attempts a rescue!

Pure has not been on the offensive all game. HiyA is playing hyper-aggressively and it's almost working.

HiyA taps out. After a cheesy, relaxed first two games, Pure fucking exploded into reality in the 3rd game.

I think the series was better on the whole than the individual games were. If you want to watch one game, watch Game 3 if you like nuance, game 4 if you like intensity, and game 5 if you like, well, domination. Other ones were short and silly.

I just woke up, but it can take a while to kill lategame protoss through all their spellcasters and the need to not get caught out of position by masses of zealots.

On an unrelated note, what'll it take for a non-jungle map to be used? It's not a bad tileset, but it's not so good that I'd like 4/5 of the maps used to have that tileset.
Edit: Oh we're on Circuit Breaker now? I guess there's more non-jungle than I thought, based off of the last series.

More precisely, it was a rax CC build that scouted a gas steal->nexus first and used a bunker rush to punish.
