i've been fairly quiet in terms of posting as of late, but that doesn't mean i haven't followed everying single BW league/tournament in existance. I don't think there has been a match anywhere near as hyped and anticipated as Anytime vs Nada
THE PLAYERS (information from HonestTea) Nada TvP: 105-57 65.2% (353-194 64.5% all matchups) Nada's Tournament: Round of 24: W Light W Zergman W Jy Round of 16: 2-1 TT Round of 8: 2-0 Zergman Semi-finals: 3-0 GoodFriend
Anytime PvT: 45-28 61.6% (111-93 54.4% all matchups) Anytime's Tournament: Round of 24: W Casy W July L Midas Round of 16: 2-1 GGPlay Round of 8: 2-1 GoRush Semi-finals: 3-2 Midas
Head to Head: Nada 1-1 Anytime - Nada 1-0 Anytime (MBCgame Team League, July 2004. Map: Luna) - Nada 1-1 Anytime (MBCgame Team League, November 2004. Map: Luna)
Can there ever be a better storyline than this? The Golden Mouse versus the Legend of the Fall. Anytime's been here before - his 3-2 win over Boxer in the So1 finals cemented the Legend for good while denying Boxer of his Golden Mouse (three OSL championships). But Nada is something else. When Nada was in his prime, he was arguably the single most dominant force in progaming history. We're talking about dominance like Jordan's Bulls, Pele's Brazil, and Roger Federer. Nada's TvEverything was unstoppable, including his TvP. Unlike Boxer, he is a known Protoss Killer. To even mention his micro and macro skills would be redundant. Plus Nada is armed with unpredictable-ness, free-wheeling build ordrs, and a flair for the creative - qualities that Anytime's last opponent (Midas) lacked. But if this OSL has taught us anything, it is to never underestimate Anytime. His road to the finals has been straight BRUTAL. It's only fitting that Nada would be waiting at the top of that pyramid. But if anyone can complete this miracle run, it's Anytime. Anytime's play style involves a strong grasp of strategy and innovative build orders, with the strong foundation of Pusan-like macro. If he doesn't catch you off guard with DTs, he will run over you with Speedlots. So this OSL will come to an excellent climax, pitting two creative yet solid players, both who have so much at stake.
THE MAPS SET Tau Cross New Peaks of Baekdu Arkanoid Arcadia II Tau Cross
(anyone know an up to date log of these map statistics? i'll post some numbers i've seen in VODs)
Poll: Golden Mouse vs Legend of the Fall (Vote): Anytime - Protoss - LeCaf (Vote): Nada - Terran - Pantech EX
HOW TO WATCH Also, the match begins at 18:00 Seoul Time, which is 1AM PST and 4AM EST (i beleive this is correct). I'll try to get more info on the best software to use to watch live, since I haven't done this in quite sometime.
GO Anytime.......haha.......yes haji..........Anytime fans unite........wow I'm so excited, and hopefully it'll be a great series that goes to 5 games(expecting to see some Anytime DT)
2pm Korean time should be 12am EST and 9pm PST. Ever since daylight savings time, Korea has been +17 hours in front of PST and +14 hours in front of EST. When daylight savings time happens again in the spring, we'll go back to +16 hours and +13 hours.
Ya i must say this is equal to what Boxer vs Reach was long long ago in the OGN finals. Really looking forward to it. Not only is it everything that Day mention but I would go as far as to say that the winner of this matchup would go down as the best player of his respective race hands down. At least for a while. It would be hard to argue that nada is not the best T player of all time if he wins this, the same goes for anytime (for p of course). Also as a player who can remeber the time when Nada truely was unstoppable with more than one expansion its beautiful to see him rise again. It was truely awesome the way nada played LT back when it was a super popular map. His harass and multitask were inhuman. Anytime on the other hand I suspect will come with perfectly prepared builds, it will be great to see.
I'll copy/paste what I wrote in the liquibet topic for the people who are newer to the pro gaming scene. This is probably not worth reading though if you're already knowledgeable about the scene and history.
Just in case anyone new to Pro Gaming doesn't know all the subtle details that make this game great, let me explain (also correct me if I'm wrong on anything. I'm not as big on pro gaming history as a lot of other people on this forum are):
The Legend of the Fall Three OSLs stand out in the Fall, all involving the legendary and beloved SlayerS_`BoxeR`. In the middle of BoxeR's indomitable reign, He faces against a protoss known simply as "GARIMTO". If BoxeR wins this, he would have won three straight OSLs - 4 years before the concept of a "Golden Mouse Award" was even thought of. Through all the hype, the slight controversy (Incubus map), and the obvious fandom towards BoxeR, GARIMTO takes the series in a shocking 3-2 in the Fall of 2001.
One year later, BoxeR finds himself once again facing a Protoss, this time the one known as "Reach". With an awe-strucking display of Templar and Shuttle usage, Reach is able to take a win in one of the most memorable games in Pro SC history, and eventually the entire series, 3-2 in the Fall of 2002.
Three years later, and one year later after a heart-wrenching defeat to his own student, Oov, in the OSL Finals, BoxeR finds himself in a familiar position. It's the Fall of 2005, against Anytime - Protoss. Boxer, rehabilitated and in top shape after an amazingly heroic win over PuSan in the semi finals of this tournament, once again falls short of what is known as the "Legend of the Fall" - as Anytime takes his first OSL title, 3-2 in the Fall of 2005.
BoxeR would eventually retire after 6 years of professional gaming, leaving with almost every memorable pro gaming moment, a charisma the size of a small country, and every award..except the Golden Mouse Award acquired after three OSL victories. --- Prior to Anytime's victory in 2005, NaDa suffered a terrible tragedy - the loss of his Father in a traffic accident. NaDa had not been doing well in the StarLeagues at this point, and the loss of his Father was a huge setback that forced him into a year-long slump. It was finally in this OSL that NaDa, the victor of also two OSL wins, would rise once again to the top of the list of dominating players, reaffirming that the Genius Terran wasn't going to slump forever.
Now we're in the Fall of 2006, with the Legend of the Fall still fresh in the minds of many. We all remember the disappointing back to back to back to back OSL Final losses BoxeR suffered. BoxeR was never able to acquire his 3rd victory, but NaDa could finish what BoxeR had left behind. All he needs to go through is one Protoss player - Anytime[gm], who has perpetuated the Legend like the Protoss deities before him.
And this is what is at stake in just over 24 hours.

Guys if you guys have the vod just upload to youtube as well as torrent. SOme of us (like me) much prefer watch vods online rather than having it sitting in computer xD THANKS! LEGEND OF THE FALL! (had to do it, srry)
I go to look at FiFo's pictures of ES force to find nada vs anytime pics, and see what they have? Seriously, every other ESForce has TossGirl pictures. These happen to be more revealing than the usual.
I said some time ago that it will be a Nada vs Anytime final and it happend. My final score prediction then was 3-2 for Nada, but as I see it now it could easily be 3-0 for Nada, too

ROFL some of you guys are acting all retarded, THE FINALS ARE TOMRORROW, SATURDAY. OK? Then again it's ok! Cuz this is a reeeally great game and I'm so looking forward to it.
Go Nada! I think it wouold be a great story if either one wins, but I think Nada would be an even greater story. I'm still attributing his slump to the loss of his dad.

gogogog another National Geographic documentary ^___^ heartbreaking loss of dad leads to once the most dominating progamer's slump, but with determination and revival of his old skills he manages to clinch another OSL title, CLAIMING THE GOLDEN MOUSE, AS WELL AS BREAkING THE LEGEND OF THE FALL!! zomgzomg

Okay, I've just (finally) watched the Superfight games vs Reach and, honestly, I think Nada is back to his old good level, or very very close to it. That was pure flawlessness in every single aspect of the game. When he plays like that, I can't think of anyone, except maybe Oov in shape, who can rival that level of TvP.
My prediction is that Anytime will get badly crushed if he plays even *nearly* as sloppy as he did vs Midas. Hence I really hope he'll be at the top of his game, esp. considering the map pool.
[Btw, that's pretty much off-topic, but there was a kind of debate around the FD build and whether moving out with marines/first tank was an absolute necessity. Game 1 of the Superfight series is an example of a solid "defensive" FD build from Nada.]

Hahaha, this is EXACTLY my opinion, I was even going to make a post about how Nada plays FD.
When he made that 4 vulture drop near the end of game 2, he convinced me he's right back to his old self.
Puulllleeeassee, the statistical best player in the entire world vs some fucking bitch newcomer protoss who probably smacks it to eel porn and is a protoss player ffs. I'd take MUMYUNG over this god damn newb.

I only thaught Nada won vs Anytime in that clan war when he chrushed the whole plus team with 3-0 (w vs Anytime, Pusan and Zergman). What was the other game?
