How does the format work? Is it seminals 1 / 2 and winners play in the final or is it winners from the lowest rank battles to the first spot like old proleague?

The second of the two formats you mentioned. The winner of this gets to play HTML (SKT), who came first in the regular season. Woongjin Stars was second, and KT defeated Komawang (CJ) on Wednesday to get to play in these "semifinals" (actually playoffs).
That's the problem with these old timers. Remembering Iris for his 2-3 loss to Savior in the OSL finals, then watching him 10 years later after service and whatnot. It's quite sad.

Yeah, I still think of Modesty as a ZvZ sniper and watching him beat free is slightly disconcerting.
its been so long since the last time i saw some protoss getting that big damage from early mutalisk..it was dumb free -_- but since ur progamer days u keep lossing like that !
That game was incredibly dumb... Piano played bad and Modesty showed good micro but still managed to lose the game because he tried to play muta only. Really awful game
Interesting situation. I don't think ex-Woongjin have any more players that can take down Mind, but if they do, they will probably defeat Ample as well (if his performance on Wednesday is anything to go by). Conversely, Mind is on fire right now, but he has to win the next two as well.
Zergman knows full well that he can't take Mind in a straight up game. Really happy that ex-KT is gonna make it to the finals. Then HTML can have a proper challenge, instead of a Larva all-kill bloodbath.
Well, i remember it quite well, it was 7 years ago. Since then, Mind never won against Bisu.
It's not like i want SKT to win, i was a KTF fan so i should back KT, but SKT is a clear favorite given that apart from Mind, KT looked bad today and that Bisu has been looking very good lately. I actually think Stars had a better chance to win tanks to Zero.

That would just seem to suggest protoss has no winning matchups, and zergs are just losing to Ts but beating Ps.
Although if you subscribe to the 'TvZ is the only matchup that matters' snobbery that is rife on TL, then I guess that would also be valid conclusion :p

Didn't someone make a post a while ago saying that the sospa scene is really missing good zergs who are strong vs. terran?
