EPTWCG Canada proceeded tonight to the draw of the brackets.

Following the group stages, there will be a double elimination tournament (winners + losers bracket) for the 8 players that made it through the group phase.

And by the way, I'm so happy right now because this year's organisation KICKS ASS, compared to what we had the other years (ironically this year is the worst for WCG USA :D).

(And, just to give you an idea how WCG Canada is really on fire this year :
-Right now if you listen to a Montreal radio station (like CKOI, or CKMF) you can hear advertisement for the finals at La Ronde.
Those who live in Montreal WILL know there's something happening and people will come to the finals, so our sponsors can have some visibility.
-There will also be a group of reporters making a documentary on WCG Canada and international gaming. They contacted us by e-mail for the interviews.
In fact it's the same organisation since last year, they really do a good job!)

Does it cost anything to enter La Ronde?
For you, the player, it’s free. WCG Canada covers your ticket for the whole weekend. Your ticket is your Player ID card which will be given to you upon registration. Without it, you won’t be able to get in unless you purchase a ticket. All visitors must pay the regular price to enter La Ronde. More information can be found at www.laronde.com. In other words, if your girlfriend wants to cheer for you, she will have to pay the regular price. However, she will also have access to all the rides the park has to offer.
What kind of computers are we playing on?
Dell is providing us with the latest gaming system. On the main stage, there will be 10 XPS computers set up. They will be used to play featured matches as well as the gold medal games for each game tournament. In the PC tournament area, there will be 40 custom-built Dell Dimension systems. We don’t yet have the official specs but let’s put it this way. You won’t be able to blame the hardware if you lose.
