Don't flame me for this. Personally, I -> CAN <- see me beating oov PvT, even in a BO3. But I can't see any of the other Canadians touching a korean. Let alone getting out of their groups. Lord knows the odds are against me, because well.. he's fucking oov. lol. But I actually think in well, perhaps that matchup alone I can be threatening to him. But lord knows, he's oov... T_T.
Yes, I said I -> can <- beat oov in a bo3. More likely i'll be steamrolled though. The only foreigners who have a chance to come in top 3 overall are you, Sen, Mondragon, Draco, and Androide. And even then, a Korean is winning this thing. They are the favorites in the foreigner community for sure but if u check past years theres always 'unsuspecting' players there.
No there hasnt. A korean progamer has won every year in a row (dating back to WCGC), and the only foreigners who have ever gotten top 4 are huge names (Grrrr..., Androide, FisheYe, ElkY, etc)

I guess Blackman doing so well was a bit of a surprise, but that was just due to ignorance.

hey, blackman is the greatest zerg ever. ever!

There have been unsuspected players making the top 4. S.top]Storm for sure is one of them, and you could argue that Blackman and Fisheye were as well.
Also, I'm not sure if Ogogo was progamer yet when he was in WCG 2003. I know he was an amatuer during WCG Korea 2003, but I don't know if he got picked up before or after the main event.

You seem to not know much about USA's relationship to WCG so refrain from making inaccurate and irreleveant comments when announcing the details of your own national event.

A --> HUUUUUUUUUUUGE <-- thanks to FrozenArbiter.
If I win WCG Canada, it will be because of him. FA rocks the socks off docks.

There's maybe 5 people here who would typically have any hope of beating you. As far as I know, only 1 or 2 of them actually give a shit about success in this tournament and have practised. I really don't think you'll have a hard time, unless you choke really badly.

Well, I didn't end up practicing for WCG in Singapore, and still managed to beat Silent_Control. So, I prepared. >.<

Beast in top 4 was a relative surprise to most

FisheYe was the best German player for years until he stopped being active and Mondragon took over.
FisheYe doing well was hardly shocking.
