But that doesnt even matter. I cant play at 28th at this time, I have a football match. So I think i am out.
He was D+ for several seasons before. He broke C- for the 1st time after practiing for this tournament. He has stated to me that it was because he played D level players and below so ofcourse h is going to win more.
He's also played in 2 other DRIL and lost to Essbee and nagisama repesctfully. So hes not C rank he just played random ladder and won more then he lost.
This brings up another good point; ladder gives you random opponents (relatively, depends on the hours I guess). So that means that one person can go 0-10 and the other 10-0 on ladder but the 0-10 beat the 10-0. A good example is when I went 14-0 in the last 2 weeks of last season, but this season....
I know my opponents aren't random, but the point is made - there are players like the above playing at D ranks, and players that are really E but didn't fall down low enough yet.
As I said before, I didnt know that he is a well known member of the community. Everybody can relax again. + Show Spoiler +
Okay it was my fault. I didnt know that he is a well known member of the d/d+ community. I thought he tried to sneak in the tourney. I am sorry. Didnt want to make a drama. Jealous is right, that is what happens to me when i make d+ and have to play d+ guys

We're just discussing ~_~ It's still a relevant topic outside of this single instance.

[/QUOTE] I'd like to point out that this is inaccurate. uround actually has not won more random ladder games than he has lost. it is so easy to advance up the lower part of the rank ladder. i mean im at like 1350ish with a horrible win rate (something like 15-31) and theres tons of high d+ player with a worse win rate then me. i doubt i can compete with d+ players with good win ratios but i have no doubt that i and anyone else here can get 3001 ez
There are two important points about the iccup ladder. 1. Your opponents are generally better than the rank that shows This is all because of the seasonal reset, smurfs and laziness. What this means is that you can't expect to win 50% of the time against your own rank.
2. Leveling up a rank is nothing compared to sustaining it As you reach another rank, you gain less points by winning and lose more when losing.
To sustain D+ you need these stats. vs D: 45% vs D+: 33% So if you improve those numbers only by a tiny bit you will climb towards C-.
To sustain C-, however, you need this winrate: vs D: 69% vs D+: 45% vs C-: 33%
That's a huge difference. Msj[uround] seems to be somewhere between. I would say he's a high D+, and that's legit imo. To be called C-, I think you would need to be able to sustain it fairly consistently, and then you pretty much need the stats shown above, or atleast very close.

Oh wow.. never knew the exact numbers needed. I figured it was something like that but its cool to know the stats

No, I cant play tomorrow. Thats bad, but I have to back out from the tourney. I am sorry guys.
Everything will go smoother if you can get your whole group to play at the same time. If that doesn't happen then you should play your opponent as soon as possible and send me the replay so I can update the group.
I would like to drop out as a family issue sprung up and I will not be available to play tomorrow. I would like to say sorry to the members in my group who may or may not have been prepping to play me.
