We could have changed all that, ignore, riot and make things the way they fucking should be. That didn't happen.
for my part, I tried to ignore SC2, but failed and played the campaign, to my amazement I couldn't finish it (turned out to be boring). I played some skirmish games, not bad, but when I have BW, why should I care for another game, which is good but certainly not on par with BW? So I stayed and still am.

It's actually ILLEGAL for a CEO to purposefully decrease their profit margin against another alternative for non profit related reasons, the board /shareholders can actually sue him and get him removed according to American corporate law. The system is catering to one specific drive and is competitive based on that, nothing else matters if you accept this mentality.
Obviously I'm fundamentally oppose this, not just because coincidentally it's killing BW, I would oppose it even if this was coincidentally good for BW. But that's a tangent.

You mean... while watching the last PvZ series ever in the last OSL ever, seeing the passion of the crows and feeling the tension from games 4&5 you did not feel like crying? Add in the storyline and emotions just swell inside. At least I was in tears (of happiness, yay) and I weren't the only ones.

Nothing against SC2, i bought SC2 blindly while going back to my BW memories from 2002-2003. I was working in a shop and i saw all the masses buying the box with incredible smiles i bought myself too. Got hyped, forced myself for a long time, actually im still forcing the issue(hoping for better, ye...), but when i see epic BW i know the answer deep down. Sad. The BW particle was not there.

It's actually hard to think it could've been possible. For every BW fan right here, there are dozens of rather young SC2 fans that discovered the existence of Blizzard through World of Warcraft, and think SC2 is the e-sports game and BW the old thing that means nothing.
It just shows more and more about Blizzard focusing on a very young and "semi-casual" public....
