What happen If he use that Rax, build a deport to create a wall along will his bunker? Those zealots would not be able to surround the bunker. SCV can repair it and those tanks will be enough to stop the attack. He had 3 tanks at the moment the zealot train arrived and 3 more tanks ten seconds after that. | ||

He needed to continuously rally tanks to keep up the attack, and the constant lifting and landing of the rax every time he moved out with tanks. Would he have had enough time to see the zealots after they got up the ramp, go back to his base and land a rax he had floating there (keep in mind he doesn't have a rax to spot zealots in the middle of the map now)? maybe, but it's a stretch. Even if he did make a wall with depot rax and bunker. he can't make it tight at the bottom of the rax, so bisu might have been able to micro his zealots perfectly in a single file line and still get a surround.. | ||

Even if Flash was planning to rax-expand with no gas at the beginning of the game, that still is a minimum delay of about 3:15+ in getting gas, two minutes of which were completely avoidable (refinery immediately after killing the first assimilator) and which can probably take about 70% of the blame for Flash's eventual loss, even if the game did go on for a while. As a result of his pressure through the middle, the second assimilator stays up until 10:50 when the second refinery does go down immediately: Flash doesn't have his second gas online until 9 minutes into the game! In contrast, Bisu's 3rd base is starting at 9:00 gametime (11:36 VOD - minimap again). On those kind of terms, the drop Flash managed was cute but he simply got out-economied (which possible justifies the CC-before-gas to attempt to stay even but possibly doesn't - on the other hand if the probe doesn't get in to drop the second assimilator that's a hugely different game.) Bisu was ahead on my reading from the early pressure but that second gas steal combined with Flash's particular decision-making (and a little blind counter luck to finish) put the game out of reach from about 8 minutes in. Hmm.. I suspect that Flash wanted to channel all his resources to building Marines, and expanding, that's why he didn't build the Refinery. Of course he still shouldn't have let his gas get stolen, but that's because Bisu hid his probe in Flash Natural, and Flash wasn't aware. He completely couldn't have seen the Probe when it was on its way back for a 2nd Gas Steal. | ||

I feel like this demonstrates that Flash wasn't really as dominant as it seemed... the format having no ace match lent itself to him being able to steamroll lesser players without having to really test himself. He was extremely dominant, maybe still is, but he needed to prove it by beating other S-class players and he didn't get the chance. Hope they don't do that stupid crap again. | ||

A supply depots which construction was just started wouldn't last more than 2 seconds which would be useless, and be a pure 100 minerals waste. Also Flash tried to bring back to his bases the units that were behind Bisu's main mineral line and those units died. Bisu had a lot of reinforcements coming from 8 gates, Flash would have never been able to hold those. | ||

Exactly, a lot of people rushed to Flash's defense saying if he built vultures and mines instead of tanks he could have held. They forget that even if he held the first wave, he wouldn't have held the 2nd or the 3rd. If he didn't re-inforce the attack, Bisu would have had a 3 base 8 gate pump going, which Flash couldn't possibly hold anyway, and if he attacked, he would only have a couple of tanks and 3 vultures worth of mines to defend a 2 base 8 gate pump. Bisu had already rebuilt citadel and cybercore as well. Flash was just too far behind. | ||
