Hoejja vs Leta was very good, at least from Hoejja's part.
I like how the same people will claim that Stat vs Leta was awesome while it was decided by one enormous noobish fuck up from Stat, and that Hoejja vs Leta was bad although it was a long relentless game, where, that's true, Leta seemed shacky compared to what he sometimes deliver.
Leta didn't play well, because Hoejja did the opposite of what he thought at every single stage of the game. Stat didn't play well because he decided to run a goon into a minefield next to 18 transitioning probes. Which I don't see happening often at C level, iCCup.
Almost noone would claim the Leta/Stats rematch was a good game gameplay wise, but it was probobly the most entertaining game to watch in the series just becuase of Mine Daebak and Mine victory ceremony.
The same cannot be said for Hoejja/Leta, which sucked on all levels. Unless you are a fan of Zerg abuse I guess, but there was plenty of that abound since 16 of the 30 players sent out across the series were Zerg.

pretty sure hydras dominate in low level zvz when players don't have the control to abuse mutalisk's mobility. mutalisks are effective against hydra not because of the damage adv, but because of mobility.
that's why if you play D level zvz on iccup, EVERYONE goes hydra

CJ coaching is too well rounded imo, that's not necessarily a bad trait, it's just that CJ expects all of its star players to be able to handle any match up on any map. And many of them are indeed able to pull it off, but it's just not an efficient allocation of resources when other teams like Khan and Stars (which CJ was able to overcome) have map / race exclusive snipers. That's why it seems like they are not "clutch", it's because they are all trying to get the maximal score on every thing so they don't excel where they could. It's like trying to get every player to get an A on every subject when other teams are just asking one player to get an A+ on 1. It's a testament to how good their players are to always consistently make the playoffs.

Im not an expert by any means, but primarily mutas rule zvz because of dmg system, they rape hydras and hydras do very little dmg. So in fact a hydra based zvz in professional zvz is once in a 10 year occurance.
Sometimes people transition out of it and go into "hive tech" zvz with hydra/ling/lurker defiler etc, but im not sure what are the reasons to favor switch because sometimes people just go for more mutas into hive tech (like jaedong vs yellow for example).
muta mobility is also important.
in sc2, muta are hampered by the fact that a) hydras on creep are FAST and b) hydra ground-to-air DPS is very high. in sc1, hydras are slow and their damage to small units is paltry. thus, mutas can dance around and harass very effectively in sc1, while hydras are... not that strong.
Not to mention at the progamer level, muta can be microed in an abusive manner against hydras or really anything else. That's why you only see hydras in later-game ZvZs when the other guy can't spend all their energy microing against you.
You can win a lot of games on ICCUP through muta-micro alone if you are good enough at it (especially ZvT.) Another factor that contributes is the absence of an early game AA unit (the SC2 queen can fight off a low number of mutas by itself and if you have two+ it takes a lot of mutas to kill the queens) so it is almost required to go for mutalisks so you don't die to a super fast muta attack. Another factor for hydralisks not being used is zerglings: like mutalisks, they take half damage from hydras and have ridiculous DPS (substantially higher than their SC2 counterparts). BW zerglings are stupidly powerful, even before adrenal glands, and shred through hydras. With good micro, you can kill a zealot with just three zerglings, and not even lose a ling!.

No, they're just garbage in the playoffs. All three days, CJ had favorable matchups (especially today) and they managed to throw it away, just like they did every season for who knows how long.

While I can follow you on the cheese, what is this about finding Terran interesting? KT only fielded one Terran across the entire series. 3 sets out of 15. And equating "boredom" to "Interesting" is just silly.

I worry a little about Jangbi and Stork, to be honest. Flash really needs to practice his TvP, because biomech is awesome, but you don't do that every game. Especially if it happens that your opponent is Stork and has the best reaver micro in the multiverse.
KHAN have always had Jangbi and Stork. I have a hard time believing that after all these years they will suddenly carry KHAN to another SPL title. I think Stats and Flash can handle them while the KT Zergs finish off the rest.
