A loss is eventually gonna happen in TvP, even Flash has to make educated assumptions at some point and cut corners or he'll be so far behind vs greedy plays (games vs Stork and Snow come to mind). It sucks that the streak had to end on such a short, coinflip game. | ||

He specializes in the matchup and is exclusively sent out on maps where he can snipe Terrans. Dear is 6-1 against Terrans this season, with his only loss being to Flash in a game where he got bunker rushed and lost a 13 Nexus then died to a subsequent 5 Factory push. Dear absolutely crushed FBH in a standard game and has also easily defeated Light and Sea twice each. Maybe you could argue he is B-class against Protoss or Zergs, but not verses Terrans. | ||

Flash timed the turrets to counter a Reaver first build (Reaver vefore Observer) but Dear was deceptive in his build and despite getting a Shuttle he subsequently got an Observer then a Reaver (Typically a player would skip the Observer and go for the Reaver right away). The Observer came out at the same timing as in a standard build despite getting a Shuttle first since Dear made his Robotics slightly earlier than usual (Flash actually scouted this but probably didn't notice how much health the Robotics had). Flash then remade the turrets to capture the timing if Dear went for a Shuttle and a Reaver after his Observer (USING THE STANDARD ROBOTICS TIMING). So Dear basically hit a timing between the two expected timings with his Reaver through strategic Robotics timing, and Flash didn't scout carefully enough with his SCV. | ||
