Still a bit bummed about Team 8 losing though. Kinda hoped Sea or Killer would seal the deal, but no dice.

Except the fact that the TL community is comprised of mostly non Koreans and the Koreans who do frequent this site are more worldly (speak english at the least) than your average Korean bloke. What I am trying to say here is: the banner was fucking awesome.

The abuses of the Japanese are still very relevant in Korea today. Many of the people still living have memories of being forced to learn Japanese and submit to their culture. The vast majority of them lived through the painful rebuilding of society after the Japanese left. While the banner can be left and is wonderful in certain aspects, it is analogous to portraying modern Jewish celebrities in Nazi attire. While hatred is hardly beneficial or constructive, the racism and prejudices against the Japanese is hardly "dumb". Biff The Understudy's post was insensitive but no, the banner is not "analogous to portraying modern Jewish celebrities in Nazi attire". The players are dressed as samurais, not the imperial Japanese army. And the words "sushi muramatsu" appear on the banner, which I presume is the name of an Edo-style sushi restaurant.

There is nothing insensitive in what I posted. If some people are dumb or racist enough to get offended because a banner of a gaming website associates Korean players with an aspect of Japanese culture, that's their fucking problem. And yeah, the nazi association is super bad. It's not like they took Japanese soldiers from World War 2, or anything approaching. These are goddamn ninjas, I haven't heard Koreans got slaughtered by ninjas. For Christ sake.

This is bound to hurt some feelings... are you serious? if TL was a largely korean audience of the WWII era and baby boomers, then it might be a tiny problem. But it aint...so don't be an ass to the OP and try to make something out of nothing when the thought of "those pesky japanese!" was the last thing on everyone's mind. Sad that T8 lost

JD and a ZvP specialist who most likely was sent as a sniper, not as outrageous as might seem at first glance.

On the opposite side of the pentagon lies Hyvva with a dying economy, barely holding on to three bases. This usually spells the word "doom" for the Zerg player. I left bitterly by gritting my teeth and murmuring "Protoss these days...". Someone can fill me in with what proceeded afterward? The exact same thing Jaedong did to Mini, perfect engagements with excellent HT snipes
