Except JD tore terrans up when he was just making his rise, and struggled vs P. Hydra is the opposite.

That's just unfair. i'd say jaedong > effort = hydra > zero > soulkey but yeah, he really is top tier, kinda underrated Hydra is a solid, very good zerg. But I just don't see him on the same level as effOrt. Personally I think Hydra is more deadly in ZvZ, where he is truly great; but Soulkey has better ZvT (especially ZvMech) and better ZvP. The stats seem to support this too (SK's 50% vT might look a little frail at first glance but then look at who he has played and you see over 2/3's of his games are vs terrans with a 60+% career vZ winrate). ZerO is not on the same level as Soulkey. When he plays good he is at least as good (tbh better), than SK but this is far too rare. He has too many games where he comes out and looks mediocre or downright awful. Again, this is reflected in the stats with ZerO being mid 50% or worse in each MU and SK being mid 60% vP/vZ and 50% vT playing almost exclusive the cream of the crop terrans.

Hope Light is not going to mech, he has liked that way too much since he is on stars.

He was pushing the top right, but decided (there are a few possible reasons) to push the bottom left main instead of persisting at the top. Soulkey was able to defend the bottom right at spectacular cost to Bogus, and that was it. I don't think Bogus giving up on the top of the map was necessarily bad, but I do think that he shouldn't have committed so heavily to the SW. It was his only chance at securing another mining base (the nat) whilst pushing. The other base had already been mined a fair bit and would've taken longer to mine. The SW was also along the path of his freshest expansion so made sense in terms of defence too. Yeah, I hear you. The amount of minerals was big, the push path was big, the fact that he wasn't making progress in busting the NE nat was kind of big.. It's obvious that the push down there was a good decision after Bogus couldn't hurt SK substantially enough with his initial burst of aggression. It was a change of focus though, and after a bit it seemed stubborn, probably because SK was able to shrug off more than anyone expected. Anyways, Hyvaa Hwaiting!
