I'm sorry to Team One for my super prolonged absence. Thanks to you all for your patience. Next season I'll be back and far more improved and dedicated. Congrats on performing well towards the end and turning the season around.
Going back for the second semester has been a pretty busy experience.

What would be cool is a winners-league where you could only have a certain amount of players from each rank and you had to play in order of rank.
As each player wins there's the possibility of a lower rank beating a higher rank but eventually the higher ranks will face each other last. You probably won't get an all-kill from the D rankers, but seeing D players beat C players would always be awesome to watch, and a lower rank winning would still give breathing room for the higher rank players.

How about A and B teams, both of which compete in a match? B teams being everyone below C-, A team being everyone at and above.

I think ranks are a sub-optimal way of forming teams. If a D beat a C player, I'm willing to bet money that the "D" player would really be "C" rank if they laddered more, barring the possibility of the C player performing poorly.
If anything, just run an entire amateur league concerned with its own win/loss, letting teams decide by actual relative play capability versus a letter ranking on a private ladder. Yeah, some nobody "B-teamer" might have a specially prepared build to snipe a team's ace, but if his overall record is poor, it'll reflect that's all he's capable of.
I do agree with someone running a C Rank Team League, though.

This is true, somewhat. Even Flash doesn't win all of his games though. BW is a game where advantages can snowball by chance as well as by choice. Advantages can be created through chance as well, like BO choice or moments of absent-mindedness or a particularly lucky tactical choice (sometimes people move out randomly and it hits a perfect window, like in PvP when a player is going to harass with their reavers, and the enemy shows up at their doorstep blindly...). A D rank can beat a C rank can beat a B rank can beat an A rank, but that doesn't necessarily mean that lack of games is holding them back... Sometimes you just beat players who are much better than you overall. If a C rank player beat an A rank player, I would bet money against you stating that he can't ladder to get to A right off the bat.
Ranks are also very tricky in other ways. For example, I haven't been able to stay in C- for more than a few games all season, with a 35% winrate at D+ right now. However, I was a C high in the past. Should I be in a C rank league? Should I truly be allowed to be in this D league? ):
I do think that the idea of making trades or transfers between teams should be looked at, btw. Not that I dislike my team haha xD Some teams have problems with activity, some got a poor or strong hand in the sorting of players, etc. Just a suggestion ^^
