Even with Best having a better H2H record, Bisu was undisputedly the #1 SPL player this year, and should have been sent for the ace match of the grand final.
(Don't get me wrong, I'm ecstatic that Flash won.)

I am a bit disappointed that Bisu was not the ace, but I have to admit that Bisu would not have higher winning rate than Best, unless he prepared some really excellent strategies, like the SWL final. Fanta was not a good option either, as Flash is exceedingly better than anyone else in TvT. T1 had already lost when Stats made the ace game. I feel so bad for Best and hope he could recover soon from this loss, though he is known for not mentally strong. GL to BW and T1 if we still have the next season.

Mainly, it's about how well players do in practice in a certain matchup and how confident they feel. This means a) how much a certain player gets to prepare for a certain matchup and b) how well he does if he is ordered to prepare and of course c) how he considers his chances of beating the enemy (here: Flash). My guess would be that Bisu and Fantasy were supposed to only play in their best matchup (Bisu: vZ, vP; Fantasy vZ and maybe vT). I don't know if it was ever considered to send out one of them against Flash before the ace game. I find it more reasonable to get two very safe wins from Fanta and Bisu and hope that the rest of the team (which should be stronger than KT until the ace) somehow gets two other kills - maybe by getting "lucky" with Best beating Flash. This would lead to a lack of practice on both Fanta and Bisu against a Terran opponent, leaving Best with his miracle record as the obvious choice if he felt at least as confident as Bisu/Fanta in facing Flash. Still, those aren't exactly things we (the public) know yet. The winners' interview doesn't provide that information either (because SKT lost, duh). We are confined to - educated - guessing. But coach Park shouldn't be condemned easily for a decision that was influenced by so many factors we don't know about.

Anyway as a KT fanboy I'm happy that they won in such an epic fashion, I mean going from 1-3 to 4-3 is quite a feat. Also I'm glad that Stats won his match. Very good stuff. However I can't help but feel bad for Best; the guy undoubtedly spent a lot of time and efforts praticing, only to get destroyed not once, but twice by the Ultimate Weapon. Can't blame him though, Flash is just too good. Forgive me for whining about balance in a LR thread but let it be known that Flash is totally imba. Can't win against the god of ESPORTS, especially when the stakes are so high :p

Unless they had Best practicing nonstop pvt knowing in an ace match it'll be versus Flash, he was sending someone that already lost to Flash and sat on his proleague workhorse Bisu. He went with fantasy over bisu and won a proleague and even though I felt it was a slap in the face to their best player. Oh well, us bisu fans are just sad =( I think Park was overconfident, and but all of his (metaphorical) eggs in the, "we'll win before Ace, LOL." It's already been mentioned and analyzed to death, in theory looking at the first 6 matchups, SKT got pretty much what the wanted (s2 vs zerg, soo vs P, Bisu vs Z, Best vs T, Fantasy vs Z scrub), but failed to materialize. In the end it seems that BeSt's preparation for ace seemed rather lackluster. Just my $0.02. I'm still biased, so I still think Dr. K and BeSt should've worked out a nice build with Bisu to use in ace. Since he's out of the OSL, methinks he probably could have shouldered the burden. Still I'll wait for Bisu's 4th MSL gold (a guy can always dream right?)!

SKT coaches were incredible as usual, excellent overall game plan, every player got a very comfortable matchup, but the players failed to deliver. Even if they got 2 very lucky wins due to Perfective lack of experience and Actions overconfidence. I don't think anyone could expect these results considering the actual lineups. Great job KT.
