Does anyone know what build Flash used in his first game against Best?A really brutal push that was.

(I should copy that).

It was an early contain against a passive Protoss. It's a build that punishes a greedy Protoss.

I thought SKT would win when they're leading 3-1, but damn our zergs have to be un-clutch and Flash is just too good. Grats KT, well played.

In the first game Flash decided to push when a mine heavily damaged 2 of Best goons. I dont think he would push it if the mine didnt connect at all.

I wanted to see Bisu or Fantasy go up against Flash...I knew that if Best was sent out he would get wrecked, because Best wins in games against Flash that are NOT prepared. When you have a heavily prepared and analyzed situation like this one, it's better to send out a player with overall better skill and gamesense, like Bisu or Fantasy.

Fantasy's TvT is pretty good, and he would've been able to tax Flash more, especially because Flash is playing injured. Bisu can use aggressive builds and can micro his ass off, and when Bisu is prepared he destroys his opponents. Best...the only reason he pulls off wins against Flash is because he ends up sniping Flash in encounters where Flash doesn't prepare to face Best. In this case, of course Flash was prepared, and so it was a dumb coaching decision to send Best out twice.

EDIT: Also s2 and soo lost, but...idk. I just feel like Best losing twice against Flash really was the killer here.

I don't think Bisu would've wanted to play Flash. It would've ruined further, his otherwise great season.

vs (T)Flash (prior to the finals)

(T)Fantasy 6-13
(P)Bisu 10-16 (hasn't beaten Flash on a <55% P favoured map since Jan 2009)
(P)BeSt 6-5 (last win vs Flash was just 2 months ago on the ACE map Circuit Breaker & has the best win rate vs Terran of the 3)

SKT1's best shot at Flash got 2-0'd. The fanboys should be happy Bisu dodged a bullet.

It's a big mistake to go by H2H records.

BeSt is...not good. Just plainly, that's the story. So much of his reputation is just because he eked out a win against Flash every once in a while. Might as well put Casy in a ace match against Jaedong.

you mean all two of them?

Lol you caught me. When I first wrote my post, I wrote "the 3 zergs we send out" and then after I made the post, I realize it was only 2 after recalling each set lol. I just didn't want to completely edit out that paragraph and delete all the lines or rewrite them, too much work for me. So I improvised! :D

And it's still believe what I wrote too. At least one of the two zergs could have scored a win.

Cap'n Hyuk would have brought it home

Bisu did dodge a bullet, his PvT is his worst MU anyways, losing to people like iris or gogo in previous individual leagues

LOL at gogo

Was hoping for a Bisu Flash ace though.. (was actually hoping that Bisu prepared another super aggressive opening to dissect the Final Boss once again)

Oh well, Congrats KT!!! Great games

Bisu was the best candidate, for SKT1 and BW fans worldwide. I was somewhat disappointed that the two best Proleague players didn't go head to head in the Ace match that would decide the championship .

If Chris Crocker were a SKT1 fan, he would go "leave Doh Jae Wook alone!". On a more serious note, come on guys, it's Flash. Sure, Fanta or Bisu might've had a shot. You gotta admit BeSt's play wasn't mediocre at all.

Oh yeah... Fantasy is still Unbeaten in the PL Grand Finals too.

I just don't understand how you NOT PLAY your best player in the Ace Match of the Grand Final.

This would be like sending STATS to Play Bisu or A Zerg to Play Fanta in the Final if you reverse the roles. Flash, who is the best player right now, would have been the way better option no matter the case. Fantasy, who is unbeaten in the Finals and Bisu who did beat Flash in Winners, is a much better option then BeSt.

Now, in retrospect: I can understand why Coach Park didn't send Fantasy or Bisu. Fanta has probably been practicing non stop against Zergs (He plays HyuK in OSL and was going to play a zerg in this round most likely) So, he probably did 50% practice against zerg and 25/25 against Stats/Flash. And Bisu was playing a map where he was defintely getting a Zerg or Toss, so I would assume a 50% zerg practice and 50% toss practice. Not much room for Flash, Ace match practice. Coach Park probably had BeSt playing nonstop for Flash. That's what I think happened. So, I can see that side of the puzzle.

While I can understand why he played the statistics... Remember last year when CJ "played the statistics" against SKT and didn't send out Effort to play Bisu? They lost and looked bad. I am in the belief that you always play your best players in a winner take all match no matter what.

It was absolutely a mistake to put best out there, his facial expression was that of fear when he was sent out. Even the SKT coach was like, "we are fucked, please proxy gate him." There is no way in hell you put best out there after getting humiliated in game 5. It's called an ACE match for a reason...damn those SKT coaches for failing to give us Flash vs. Bisu! KT Fighting!
