Exactly. Only the ultralisk was missing to counter that simple bio-mech transition from terran! Practically all zerg units were present in battle. Anyway, Im hoping to see queens in JvF

It seemed like JD was losing that until he built the queens

plus, your opponent has no idea what's coming until the units are actually spotted

Also, great to see JD not making a single ultra in the game. This is how you beat mech.

who voted no? it was a long and epic game. I seriously couldn't tell who was winning until the end.
I voted no. The game quality itself wasnt that good its just you didn't know who was gonna win =/
Muta micro at the beginning killed a decent amount but was actually pretty bad and definitely the zerg play didnt match Jaedong oober status. Guess it was a fun game but meh, just cuz you didn't know who was gonna win and just cuz there were queens doesnt get autovote T___T
edit: also a shit ton of idel units and whatnot, theres a few nice plays but meh probably should have voted if you have time now that i think about it...

Big day in korean schools. People need to rest early.

the only reason this game took as long as it did was for research purposes. jaedong wanted to know where his weaknesses were, so he prolonged the game while reality fought back.
and yes, i pulled that out of my ass.

Weird game. JD started so strongly with his Muta harass and "I'm gonna expand at 10'oclock and you can't stop me" expo.
Then after building his Ultralisk Cavern it almost felt like he lost his way a little bit. I'm not sure whether he wanted to please his fans with an entertaining finish, but during that mid to late game things were evening out a bit. The late Muta switch and then Queen switch were two tricks too many for Reality it seemed.
I'm not all that surprised JD was shaking his head by the end of it. He would've hoped to have ended that game about 10 mins earlier I'd say.
Edit: grammar.

It was a very good game, first dominant normal Jaedong zvt, then a very spectacular comback with queens.
Not good? rofl

Yeah, Reality was just too good with his mech switch, but I just thought that JD's gonna finish that earlier, bad that he didn't use that turret fail to its fullest. That unspotted 4th base from terran, JD could have denied it...
But yay, Queens from Jaedong! With Jaedong approving of that strat, you can automatically say that Zerg has approved of it in general

The dominance of late game mech is definitely being reduced as zergs start to figure out effective ways to kill it
plus, it's terribly difficult to hold many expos at that stage of the game with mech, you have to really rely on mines/turrets
